There are also tilt ball switches and I saw a magnetic one as well, like a window or door alarm sensor .

Finally had time to put mine in. Been staring at it for a week it seems like.
Real happy with results. Thanks op for the link. I almost cut my plastic to put lights in before and couldn't do it. But this is perfect and real easy to work with.
