Lets convince hofs05 to lift her 4runner!!!

Looks like a very safe setup that shouldn't cause any issues with the warrenty. The mod has to cause a failure. You may want to consider substituting the BFGs with Duratracs.

Those happen to be my and hers most hated tire!!! I think they're over rated and ugly and would put my ATZ's against them any day. But its just an opinion.

At $75 more (per tire) than the Duratracs, the Baja's should be better... or you are just wasting your money. Geographic location also has a lot more impact on tire choice. However, unless you've actually run a set of them you can't call them over-rated; you wouldn't have enough information to form a valid opinion.

Let's not make this a negative thread. It was just an opinion after all....not a personal attack.

And thanks for the input Koz, makes me feel a little better about the warranty issue.

As far as tires, they should reflect what type of driving you do (percentages). If all you are concerned about is offroad then the BFGs will work fine. But if you also need an on-road tire (with bad weather) the Duratracs are WAY better.

With the AT's?? I've been under the impression they were goon on road. My ATZ's are fantastic but since I've got the they've gone up from 250 to 340 a pop. I didn't want to for e her to do spend that kind of money

If she has the means why not I have wanted to lift mine since day one not only does it ride better,and become more capable but it just looks great, I absolutely love my 4runner but to have it lifted would send it over the top, I would say do it it's not one of those things you could regret.
