Latest pics.
Thanks. Where did you see it? I’m running 285/70-17’’s on a 17 x 8.5 +0 offset. No BMC or mud flap removal and good clearance. I’m at 3.7 degrees on aftermarket UCA’s. Front fender needs to be trimmed a little more and fender liners pushed forward for proper clearance off road.looks good, saw one very similar yesterday . Same wheels and tires plus the toyota badge on the grill. What size tires are you running?

Go 285/70-17’s. You will never second guess yourself. I started out with 275’s in an E load and switched to a 285 SL load for the last 20k currently. Would never go smaller. Smooth ride, very good off-road performance, so many more tire options than 275’s and look better.SW ohio area, noticed it b/c of the tire size on it. I'm considering 275 or 285 once the current set is done
Very nice setup. Are you running 285/75-17’s? Locker up front? I love black.
Where is this? Looks very familiar to me. SoCal somewhere? I need to think about getting a front camera myself.Bilstein 6112 / 5160’s, 265 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, ARB skid plates (needed them) , Apex Rock Sliders. And a front camera mod - huge help when climbing.
Fun day.

Edit: I see your spare says 285/75-17. Gear change?
Great pics. My brother lives in Cummins, GA. I have been to western SC and NC. Beautiful areas. Whose rear bumper do you have? I like it.Hey man, yea they are the 285/75R17s with stock gearing. I have an EVC throttle controller that gives a little more "power" off the line and I run 93 octane but I really haven't noticed significant power loss with the bigger tires (I have had 265/70, 275/70, 285/70, and 285/75s all on the same truck). At this point I would opt for dual cases over 5.29s or 4.88s (I have heard just go for 5.29s if you are going to do it) in the diff since my on road performance is still relatively good IMO.
I have an ARB 193 locker in the rear and am just using the ATRAC up front in an effort to save CVs at the moment. It definitely isn't as effective as a true front locker and I have found that if you are "stuck" and need to search for traction, you need to straighten the wheel, get the front spinning and then start working the wheel back and forth until it hopefully grabs. My next tires will prob be the 35x11.50s Trail Grapps and then I'll revisit the front locker and, naturally, diff gears since the front diff will already be pulled.
Love what you have done to your's as well. I've kept track of it for awhile now on here. If you are ever in the SC area hit me up and we will go out to Gulches or somewhere.

Looks great. The 285/75-17’s are nice. So tempting. Love black. It’s been over a year since I posted any pictures on here (see Post #728).
A refresh was done and new upgraded parts were added.

Yeah, I can’t justify it for the reasons you mentioned. I decided today to just purchase another set of 285/70-17’s. Baja Boss AT’s this time around. You have passed the point of no return now, but you have a nicely setup, good looking 4Runner. Happy trails. I’m guessing you were in the El Dorado foothills in those pics? I lived up near Sacramento in the 90’s.I forgot to mention, I did regear to 4.88. It wasn’t required but I felt it was needed, especially running with 34’s, a front steel bumper, winch, rock sliders, under carriage skid plates, Gobi rack, etc.
Expect to lose MPGs if you go with 34’s. Basically, 34’s will cost more $$$ in the overall long term.
Now I’m thinking of going to 35’s after my 34’s tread wears down. I guess I’m never satisfied lol.
