Lets see your Air compressor switches

Im getting a compressor for OBA and wanting to see your (dash) switches, what did ya get, what color and where ya got it.

My Switch Pro was full so I moved over my dimmer and drilled a new hole for my subwoofer adjustment. I then put the switch for my ARB compressor in the blank spot. The rear locker went on the switch pros!

Also in Denver and want to do a compressor install. Where do you plan to mount your compressor? Are you adding an air tank too? Those switch pros are nice and pricey. Makes wiring a breeze!

Im in Wheat Ridge, yes I will be doing a tank also. Im "planning" lol on mounting the compressor/tank in the back above the wheel well on the pass. side.

Maybe I'm missing something. For an OBA setup why would you want the switch on the dash instead of near the compressor? I don't really see a scenario where I'll need to fire up the compressor from the driver's seat

I had a under hood converted A/C pump compressor years ago with a pressure switch/unloader combo and small tank. There was only that switch to run the system. I had to have the hood open anyway to connect my hose so it was simpler to do it that way.

I have front/rear lockers so I need access to the compressor on demand without it just constantly cycling if it's not being used. Prior to getting locked I left the switch by the compressor.

well, when out on a trail, its much easier (for many people) to have the air tanks filling up while on the trail, so when done, the tank(s) are full and ready to go..
Plus, I have used the air tanks to stoke the campfire :girl: oh and some people have air horns so having a full tank of air is what they want.

This was a fun project. Wanted all the diff lock switches together including the center diff lock switch. Center diff lock switch is wired a little differently, got the momentary switch mounted but still haven't wired that one up yet. Pulled the cable off the back of the oem dash switch, appears it may be a connect to ground type switch to activate.

I almost did the same thing but decided at the last minute since I spent all the money on gears and lockers anyway, what was another 600 for a switch pro. hahah.

At that point, my savings was pretty much gone, so yeah. heh.

SAC-CA-Runner did the ARB compressor on switch fit in that empty slot without modification? thanks

I'm old school and like actual switches rather than buttons. I usually just drill out a Toyota blank button and throw a switch in there.

Here's a pic of the compressor switch next to an 80 series F/R diff lock dial that I wired up to control the air lockers.
