Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

5” lift and 34s

Vehicle specs: 2003 Sport, V8, 2WD

I’m running Bilstein 5100 shocks on all four corners set at 0”. In the front, I have Old Man Emu 884 springs for 3.5-4” of lift. In the rear, I put in Wheeler’s T12 springs for approximately 2” of lift. I have a 10mm Old Man Emu trim packer on the driver side rear and 1/4” spacer on the driver side front to level it out left and right to accommodate for driver side lean. On top of all this, I have a 1” Toytec body lift to help clear the bigger tires. At the moment, I have stock UCAs but am upgrading to SPC soon. My tires are Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 285/75/17 (Yes I said 75 instead of 70). My wheels are Trailmaster TM220 17x9 with -6mm offset. Also have 1” wheel spacers to widen the stance a little bit. Almost forgot about my 2” bumpstop drop from Toytec.

For my set up, I had to trim about 1/2” from the rear bumper and 1” from the front fender to clear the tires when flexed out although I still run to an extent. Highly recommend getting UCAs with your lift

4Runner TRD Rock Warrior Wheels

Hi all, this is my first post in the forum, so go easy on me, just getting into off road world. Recently purchased a 06 V8 4Runner, with a mint frame, so I decided it's time to modify it.

I have been looking into getting the TRD Rock Warrior wheels (PTR45-35010) for the 4runner, lifting it with the OME 2.5 inch kit and getting some bigger tires.
The first issue I see is that I literally cannot find anyone on those wheels, is the offset +6 vs +30 on OEM 17 inch wheels an issue and its why nobody is running them? With that combination, do you think I could run 285/70R17 tires, since the extra 24mm of offset would add more backspace for me. I do understand I might have to remove mud flaps, not a problem from that perspective.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi and welcome to the forum! For that offset, I think it may be the minimum offset needed to fit 285 tires BUT it would never hurt to add a 1.25” wheel spacer to be safe and add a tad bit of stance. Hit me up with any questions and I’ll do my best to help ya out with some stuff. I’m not on here as much anymore, but I have moved to Instagram and am very active on there. You can probably reach me much easier there @duskrunner.03

Thanks Brandon
To those considering this. It's a awesome bumper for a great price. I have never welded Mig. I had one Arc welding class in High School. I dont even remember it (16-17 years ago). I had someone teach me a little bit. Then went to work. It was actually fun and I was able to fine tune it to my preference. I highly recommend this kit. Eventually I will get the rear. I like the new design too. I put 4 square lights in the bumper and winch install was easy. I added tabs to mount external solenoid as pictured.

Any Las Vegas members who want this kit, I can help you.

A member on here just recently sent us these shots of his lifted 4th gen with Coastal Offroad front bumper. While we've offered this bumper for a little while now for the 03-05, the 06-09 post-facelift version shown here is new!

The Coastal Offroad bumper kit is available at: 4th Gen 4Runner High Clearance Front Bumper Kit | website

Overall for the money this setup is excellent and would recommend it to anyone however, long term impressions are yet to be seen. I couldn't justify going beyond this kit cost wise as my 4th Gen is only used for weekend trips out into the desert and camping.

I am interested to see how it rides once I am able to put on the CBI front and rear offroad bumpers with tire carrier. I purchased the HD springs (Front 885 & Rear 896) with the intentions of building out the rig and putting a rooftop tent on as well. Toytec does advise "Med and Heavy coils are rated to handle additional weight from aftermarket bumpers, winches, and accessories and should NOT be used without stated weight already in or installed at all times. All lift figures are based on averages." which I currently do not meet however the ride is fine, at most a bit bumpy in the rear with no additional load yet and the spare currently removed.

I imagine once I find the time to throw on my complete RCI skid set and sliders this is help as the total weight added will be roughly 285 lbs. (No I don't care about weight)

Any questions feel free to ask and I am more than happy to answer them.

Added some new treads. Falken AT3W 265/70R17 (suspension is Bilstein 6112 up front and 5100 in back, for reference). Next step is upgrade the rear springs and adjust the front coils accordingly for a little extra room.

Overland, great post!

You noted the front diff drop but was there a rear one, too?

How much lift did you get?

There is no rear diff drop. Just for the front. The increase in the lift overall was 3.75 - 4".

The OME gives about 3" by itself and the tire setup another 1". Overall I'm very happy with the results. Enough ground clearance for what I need and looks great. It's been installed for about 3 weeks now and I've put 500~ miles on it, so its had some time to settle.

I think it might settle a bit more over the summer when it gets scorching down here and when I also add all the extra weight I intend to do in upgrades.

3” front/rear lift. 1.25 spacers. Limited wheels, just mounted 33” 275/60r20 wrangler ultra terrains. I’m pretty happy with how it looks :), so far tired seem pretty quiet not really noticeably louder, still need to test 70+ mph, and see about noise... Apparently it does rub the body mount so tommorow morning gonna chop it, and trim some plastic materials as well.
