Toyota 22R engine parts and supercharger

I'll move this to Classics since there's 22R/RE's there.

Never heard of a Supercharger for the 22RE. I'll be that for the cost of that S/C + rebuild, you could do an entire turbo setup using a junkyard CT-26 and still have a lot of money left for fuel pump and injectors

Turbo's suck cow balls for off road use, too much lag, need torque for off road and super chargers work best for that

As the owner of both a supercharged 2.7 and turbocharged 2.4, I am plenty aware of that. My supercharged 2.7 gives good torque, I agree the supercharger is quicker and better for off road use, I never once disputed that. Not once in this thread has application been mentioned.

I remarked solely due to cost difference, not the ideal application. I spent more coin on the supercharger + rebuild than the entire 22R-TE motor and CT-26 turbo setup in my other truck.

Never heard of a Supercharger for the 22RE.
