Look what I got in the mail today!

I'm curious in knowing whether or not a larger alternator from an LC or Tundra would bolt in with the same connector. I usually try to avoid GM products.

Just curious. Are you guys who do the alt upgrade noticing brighter lights and accessory backlighting? My lights dim mildly at stops but then when I accelerate, they go to full bright. My alt is tested and working fine. I'm just curious if this helps. Thanks

In the mail today

It's no dc power alternator but anyday something related to my t4r comes in the mail is a damn good day. Purchased a Pioneer App Radio from Jimbo03T4R and got it from Mr. Postman today. Hopefully getting it installed tomorrow or before heading back to work next week. :whoo:

Let me know how the H/U works out. I've been looking at those to use with the GS4 too.

As was mentioned earlier, this is a direct bolt-on plug and play setup with high output at idle (120 amps) as opposed to having to modify mounts and wiring to make it work and you're still stuck with a lower idle output.

only thing you need for the GM alternator is 3 washers and a $20 adaptor( looked like yours needed an adaptor also.

and its not to far behind with 100amps idle and 150 max. I paid $60 for mine off amazon. yours looks bullet proof though :)

To each his own I guess. I didn't want to have to fiddle around trying to get the alignment right and have to figure out the adapter part and what wire goes where either. I just wanted a high output alt that was simple to install and fit properly. When I was doing my research on this, I didn't find any GM alternators that matched the specs I wanted let alone the specs you stated and I was also concerned about the GM's larger case being an issue too. I went with the simplest option.
