Hey Promed,
Just to let you know this is one of the nicest looking 4Runners I have seen in a long time. I own a 2006 X-SP model and was thinking about getting bigger tires and doing away with the Low profiles that come with the 20" rims. I have an extra set of the standard 17" rims and was thinking about putting on bigger tires similar to yours. If you dont mind me asking how much was all of that to do. I am talking about the tires and lift specifically. Awesome ride man hope to hear back from you.

Great looking truck!!!
I was curious about your wheel spacers. How far do they push the rim out? Are the tires now flush with the fender flares? I know the 06's fender flares stick out farther then my 04's fender flares. I'd rather spend 200 bucks to widen my stance then spend a grand to get new rims. Also, I couldn't find on the spidertracks site but would you know if you need a lift with the spacers. Thanks.

Not exactly sure how to answer but the OME made the ride more like my Tundra with the TRD package. Nothing close to a stiff jumpy ride, even over speed bumps it isn't anything jarring. I instantly noticed a much more of responsive feel at the wheel. When compared to the softer stock shocks/springs it doesn't have the wallowy(sp?) rolling feeling when taking sharper turns at speed and decreased the nose-diving during aggressive braking.FluByU said:

First off I just want to say that your truck looks amazing I am truly jealous. I am getting ready to put on a cornfed 3/2 lift and I wasn't planning to get new tires until I saw yours.
What I would like to know is do you think I will be able to fit the 275/65/18 discover STT's on my truck since I am not installing a 1.25 wheel spacer?
I am will an expecting to do some trimming but how much do you think will be needed?
Finally how dramatic of a change in MPG did you notice because that is very important to me since I drive 80 miles a day?

I am currently driving 150-200+ miles per business day with the T4R!Floridarunner said:

I still can and do carry on business conversations every day at 70-75mph using both the built in bluetooth and just holding the phone to my ear. The tires handle fine at that speed, and haven't given me any white knuckle moments yet. Keep in mind that my most recent truck/suv tire experiences are with the oem Michelin cross-terrains, BFG ATs on my old Tundra, and over 150k with BFG MTs and cheap generic 35" mud-terrains on my old CJ7. The T4R handles like a cadillac compared to that thing!

Thanks for the compliments everyone on the truck. Currently building a house and getting married in a few months. When that stuff settles down it should be time for sliders & skid plates!

What do spidertrax spacers actually do?
I am going to buy some of those sexy Discoverer STT's
does that mean I will have to get spidertrax spacers? Spidertrax wheel spacers arent the same thing as lifting spacers are they?
P.S. You have the sexiest 4runner on here! In my opinion!

I also have a 3/4 spacer--->1.5" leveling lift in front and i will be adding 1" spacers to rear....will it be lifted enought to use these tires.....will i have to get the same spidertrax wheel spacers too?

My tires are Cooper Discoverer STT 275/65R18. The nearest equivalent size for a 17" rim in the Cooper STT is a 265/70R17.

According to their website the 17" STT would be around .42" shorter and .2" narrower.
Not totally sure if it would fit or not, but if I remember right though, you should be fine with your lift.
The spidertrax spacers just push the tires out 1.25" at each wheel. They are not needed for clearance and just give the truck a wider stance. This is nice if you are not planning to get aftermarket rims with a wider offset.
