MillerPKA's Build Thread

I'd buy it if i had the dough, I just texted Miller to see what he thinks...

EDIT: Miller is looking for anyone willing to help him get it back. Sounds like he needs an investor, anyone willing to help?

When I first saw it, I thought about buying it (I've got the cash in hand), yanking the Gobi rack & projectors for the '01, and the ARB for the '97... Then selling the 35's and TRD FJ's for $800, parting the rest, and then selling the naked truck for $3500.

Very tempting, but that just wouldn't feel right, so I posted it here instead.

God this made me choke up this morning, especially now that I'm in San Diego. I definitely do not have the cash on hand, but in a bout of desperation I have a PRS SE guitar with a Boss GT10 pedal, new 360, 5 cases of Crown Royal a couple snowboards a nd some other things I would part with only if I could get her back. I am interviewing for a new role in my company, and if I get it
I would have the cash pretty damn quick, but the job doesn't start until July. In this economy I don't realistically expect anyone to help me get it back but I am ready to make sacrifices if someone wants to lend a hand. Just in case here is my number. Thank you for the heads up really.

I'm glad I could put it back on the radar for you. I'm surprised JTHeath didn't contact you when he decided to sell. Maybe you and I can talk.

One is an omatic celebrity bs 158 and the other is a Burton off brand 163. The crown I meant minis, so it ends up being 15 liters. I will do whatever I can to get this back

Maybe he'd hold it for a little while?

I doubt it, who knows though.

You gotta get that thing back Weston!

Tell me about it, I can't get anything done today with this in my head but after moving across the country and about to move into a place at the end of the month I'm strapped. Maybe something extraordinary will happen. Words can't explain me having that back to start on again.

This makes me glad I have not sold my rig yet, I know I'd miss her too much :( Good luck Miller, hope you get back into it!

New owner really let her go to pot ...

WOW. It's a shame to see this piece of art just get tossed like this. Miller, your truck was a huge inspiration in the direction I went with mine. I would scoop this up for you in a hot second if not for three conditions...I am in San Antonio and have no way to get it here, I am only here till the end of July then its back to VA for a few weeks then PCSing to CO and finally, convincing my wife.
do you know how long you would need to save up funds?

I'd have to work on that with someone. I don't know if I explained, not that it matters, but here is a glimpse into my past year. I bought this Camry because my company made the payments and gas. My mom and brother were not doing well financially and had made a promise to my grandfather to return a portion of his retirement fund as quick as possible, he lent me 2500 to finish my undergrad instead of another student loan. I made the decision to sell the 4runner and do right by my family. My dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and this past year he hasn't been improving at all. In April my company in NC restructured and my position was deleted. I was offered a position as state director of marketing and sales analytics but had to move to Raleigh. So I was at a crossroads in between taking the promotion and choosing an opportunity to spend time with my dad while there is time. I chose to be with my dad and family and ended up taking a transfer voluntary demotion with the promise of a promotion in time. So now here I am, in San Diego and waiting to get back to where I was heading with this company.

I'm strapped at the moment, but had plans to budget in some big items that would take a back seat if this somehow became a reality. Chargers season tickets, Mammoth season pass, new surf hardware, etc. would happily be removed from consideration if I can somehow get my truck back. Ask Matt on here (Scat Adams) how tough its been on me since I've sold it. It was the best experience I've had and if the day came where it became mine again it would undoubtedly be one of the best days of my life.

Sorry for the essay, but a little bit about me. Hopefully something works out, it'd be a life changer for sure. My dad has loved my truck to haha so he would get a kick out of getting back in it while he's around. Wish me luck!

wow, I am sorry to hear about your times, hopefully things can start to look up. I can look into some things but I'd hate to make a promise that I can't follow through on, so I won't. I will absolutely see what I can do.
Maybe we can get a joint effort going on here?
