Well this hurts.

Ladies and gents, the day has come for me to sell the 4Runner. I've toyed with the idea of it while finishing my degree but through wishful thinking have held onto it. I started a new career which requires an suv capable of weekly road trips, and with daily routes of up to 50 miles I finally have succumbed to reason. This isn't a feeler or a tease, this things up for grabs. The only thing I may keep is the dvd head unit depending on what I can get upon sale, but other than that its all going to stay. I can't explain how much this pains me, those of you that know me here know that I've put my heart and soul into this thing and have exhausted literally every option in order to keep it, but with finances and me being on my own I just can't swing it.

Moving from my pity party to business, I am asking $7,750. It has some issues and again those who have known me no I am completely up front and want to make sure of an honest transaction as much as I want the buyer to appreciate what they are getting. For those interested I will explain the nominal work it needs, but I can vouch for over $2,500 within the last 10 months alone in preventive maintenance. Go through the list of mods in the sig to figure out where I am basing the rest of this off of. I am extremely busy so please, serious inquiries only. I am living in Charlotte now and really only have weekends to meet if necessary, but would appreciate those looking out for their time and mine as of course this is all tracing back to my career. Thanks for the read, please pass along and hope one of the faithfuls will own this before I fold and sell it to some numbnut. Here are some recent pictures of it. Please let me know if you need any information. Thanks again, see ya

Damn I think you are crazy but good luck> I hope that all works out in the end, Personally If I were you I wold not take a penny less than what you are asking as you are not even recouping your mods at that price, not to mention the hrs you have put into your runner. Maybe in a few years of the new career you will be able to build another better runner.

dude wtf?! i cant believe ur selling ur 4runner... i want to buy it but dont have 7500+ :( im assuming u wouldnt be willing to part the roof rack would u? i would love to have that on my 4runner!

Wait a minute. How many members are there? What if we all kick in $10 just to get Miller to keep his runner? Dude, Miller is a stable mate on this forum and cant go. How many members are there?

I like his thinking...

Wes- why not just go buy a little 4cyl beater like I did...I spent 800 bucks on my Camry and over the last year it's paid me back double in the gas savings over my truck. Literally. I spent 800, and within the last year it's saved me 1860 in gas. Dude, do it...please don't sell the runner

Dislike...oh, wrong forum!

Seriously, lets put a plan together to help you keep it. What's it gonna take realistically for you to just park it for the time being?

Dude! You have to keep it! Like Liny says, buy a beater to save you on the gas! I drive my wifes Impala to and from work to save both my rigs mileage and gas!

I will definately miss your updates man! She's a beauty!

Trust me man this truck has brought emotions out of me today I never thought were there, working 12+ hours a day has taken its own separate toll and the fact of losing it has really compounded it.

In all honesty I need another SUV, a dependable one. I am selling it for a down payment/cash in my pocket to pay off the rest of the tires and other lingering bills, but in all honesty if someone were to have a decent SUV they would want to take monthly payments on I have a $6k car allowance a year, which comes out to about 450 a month after taxes. If someone is willing to personally finance with me then I may be able to mothball the 4runner and keep it, otherwise its gotta be gone and soon. Trust me you have no idea how I feel, some may grasp it better than others but holy cow I am lost for words. Thanks for the positive reinforcement everyone it really means a lot.

Ok so whats our time frame for figuring something out? You said soon...like this month? Let's put our brains together and see if there's something we can figure out.

When I saw this I was thinking "I should just buy that thing and move the stuff over to my truck." But to part that truck out would be criminal.

I feel for you man. I still can't let go of my Supra, and I don't even drive it any more. Like 3k miles in the last 2 years. I'm sure if you had a way to keep it, including a place to park it, you would do it. That truck really is a work of art and has been my one of my favorites ever since I joined this forum.

If it comes down to you having to sell it, take your time (if you can afford to), and find a buyer who really appreciates what it is and is willing and able to move it into the next stage in it's life... put a new motor in it, complete overhaul of the running gear, etc... whatever is necessary to keep it on the road for another 100K.

Sad news indeed.

So Gay

Remove body lift, part out roof rack, limb risers and tires and wheels. Replace with used 33's or 255's and stock rims. You now have a dependable suv.

Hey guys i got a idea what if he goes to a pawn shop and pawn it. then when he gets money he can buy it back

Yeah I need to be in something else by the end of the month given that it makes it that long I'm killing it every day with the amount of liquor I'm carrying in it. The spring inside my drums snapped earlier in the week and now it grinds really loud every time I brake, have to get it fixed on Sa****ay (<-- haha that's supposed to the day after Friday, can't believe it got censored) and likely blow the rest of what little money I have. Its pretty much a personal finance with another SUV or its gotta go. I've already been hounding my mom to keep a lookout for friends and family that have an suv just sitting so I can work something out, but no luck as of yet.
