Most Miles on 1 Tank of gas?

Wow lucky. This weeks tank I drove a little more highway, but still not a lot. The light is on but its not quite on the Empty mark yet. I'm on like 140 miles... this is pathetic..

Kregg, my car got jacked today. I left the head unit's faceplate in cause I was in a rush, and might've left the cable connected to my ipod in also. My ipod was in th ecenter console i'm pretty sure. But yah they broke the wing part of the rear window, got in, took my radio's faceplate, my $300 brand new ipod video..

sigh.. Really sad and mad at the same time right now..

Dude...sucks... where I work we've had people come up on the lot and grab things off the cars we are trying to sell... I live in a tiny whole in the wall town but i still lock my truck up if i walk inside my house for even a min... But a couple weeks ago someone stole my rear windsheild wiper... arm and all.. i know wtf? right...crazy stuff goin on in today's world... good luck gettin that fixed... i feel for ya man...it hurts...

Yah I know man, I just wish I could get 5 minutes with that person that jacked me, I swaer his face will never be the same. Saw a person today atl ike 6:00 PM looking into peoples car looking at radios, was waiting for him to smash a window in and I would've ran up and made his face never the same. Fortunately for him, he never saw anything good and wetn back to standing on the corner.

Just came back from out of town, and doing a 100% freeway driving, I got 365 miles out of my tank. It's an '02 Sport 4WD auto w/ 22k miles. I probably could have got 400, b/c my light hadn't even come on yet, but I didn't know where the next gas station was, so I figured I better stop while I could.

I know you arent addressing me but my dad and I were just talking about stereo theft. We just bought some JL subwoofers, an amp, and an Alpine Head Unit. I hope mine doesnt get stolen cause that would just really aggrivate me.

Yah, thanks for your sympathy. It sucks, but you get over it. Get an alarm, park inside your garage, hide everything. Thefts come at unexpected times.. I left my radio in my car like 20 times. And it just so happened that one night it was jacked.

I just wrapped up another tank with the ECT on and got almost 245 miles with 80 of them on the highway and 11 of them off road in 4lo for just over 16.5mpg. This might be a record for my truck.

I think i just got my best tank this weekend...270 miles on about 14 gallons...thats about 19 mpg!! It was all highway driving though....then i just spent $45 for 14.3 gallons! oh well....i guess that's just how it is.

10-11 is not normal and you may need a mechanic to diagnose your problem. My mom just completed a tank of 95% city driving as she had to drive to downtown Denver for the last two weeks and she still got over 250 a tank so she lost about 20 miles to her latest tank which was a drop of only 1mpg over her 70% city driving.

For me it depends how much I top off my tank. I just got my 4R 2 weeks ago. And I notice my mileage varies from high 15's to low18's. And I'm all stock.

I notice I can get at least another gallon after the first click off. Does anyone else have this situation?
I drive a mixture of city and highway.

EPA est. 17mph - city 20mpg - hywy

This coming week I wil be driving an extended highway trip:driving: . I let you know what I get.

Sorry took so long to get back, I drove about a 530 mile hywy trip towing a small utility trailer , filled up twice and got between 18 - 20mpg. I can live with that. In the city I get any where from 16 - 18. 99 V-6 w/ auto trans. all stock.

Man, this is awfully weird. Maybe I need new spark plugs, or maybe upgrading from 225/x/15 tires to 31x10.5x15 tires have a big difference?

Could be a O2 sensor since those can run rich and not always throw a CEL.
