Looks like your in OH where the temps are low. Do you do alot of short trips? If so this will hill your MPG. In winter time this does not help either as it takes longer for the vehicle to warm up after each start. Even if the vehicle sits for one hour after just using it the engine cools down considerably in close to 0 degree temps.
4runner is not a fuel efficient vehicle by any means. If 2 mpg concerns you than I'm afraid you might of bought the wrong vehicle.
