My 2013 TE is here!!!

Here it is, 2013 TE with Nav/Entune and KDSS. Im shocked at how fast it came. Just arrived late this afternoon so she'll be in the driveway Saturday. Couple quick things i noticed....NOTHIN!!! haha... zero changes that i could see...still lever shift for 4x4 and ipod connector still in glovebox.... so the Toyota press release in regards to the switch taking place of the lever and ipod connection being moved to center stack are definitely not in the trail...still no 13 SR5s around to see but id assume those are the only ones to receive those changes....heres a couple pics

Stupid question but I assume the window sticker says 13' on it? I guess they are making the changes to the 13's a little later. I know I bough my 10' (the 1st one within a couple hundred miles to me) the day it arrives on the truck. I am trying to remember back, I believe it was the very end of November of 09'. Being so early still I have a feeling they are calling the last of their 12's '13's' based on some set production date on the books, but the actually production change switch will happen later. That is just my useless thoughts though. Enjoy!

Yea kinda like a 2012.5. Almost a 13, so they call it a 13, but it's still really a 12

I've said it in a few posts already but, it is a '13. Window sticker states so as well as the vin. I work for an auto group and we own 2 Toyota franchises so i do have at least some degree of knowledge about this. The 2013 production started in August. There will be no further changes on the TE for the '13 model year. The SR5 or LE may have some changes but there will not be for TE. Toyota does not make changes to any particular model after its been released. Not too mention the fact that Toyota doesn't make many significant changes on 4Rs year to year anyways other than a different option that may be offered year over year or a new generation is released. As to why the '13s aren't on the web yet is pretty simple... they need to finish moving the '12s out....which is why they have an enhanced lease on them currently. For anyone who thinks they have a '12 "on order" it will almost certainly be a'13 unless the dealership your buying from dealer traded for it. Every 4R from here on out to arrive at a new car franchise will be a '13

10th digit will tell you what year it is. 2=12, 3=13.

Didn't know the trail was available with that dash, though.

Thats not correct, if the 10th digit is a "C" its a '12. If its a "D" its a '13. The dash is the same as last years as well.

What dash? All I see is optitron, which is standard on the TE.

Not trying to be an :moon: here but Toyota did release a statement with the changes. They did not list each model specifically but I would be shocked if those changes did not carry over to all of them. I know back in the day the Pathfinder did the 1/2 model year additions.

I am. The official press release stated that the SR5 grade model would be receiving the switch and ipod location change. No where in it did it say the TE was changing. I along with probably most everyone else assumed that the TE would be affected by that too...it obviously wasn't though. I guess you never know what an auto manufacturer is thinking but in sticking with Toyota tradition it is highly unlikely that they would make a mid year change especially considering next years models will probably see the mid gen changes/facelift

Regardless of what they do though, Im very happy to have the lever still... part of the reason i wanted the TE is because of its toughness and ability to go anywhere and do anything. I may be old school but i still like the mechanical part of a vehicle. i was nervous going to look at it today because i was afraid of it having a switch. So i was pleasantly surprised. It may be just me but in my opinion if the TE is the only model with a lever Toyota finally got it right in regards to that.
