My wife’s Sequoia was squeaking in the engine bay. I changed the idler pulley and belt pulley 5 thousand miles ago. Never had a belt go bad that fast before, especially a genuine belt from Toyota. Well installed the new belt and no squeaking no moa.

So I installed my JDM door mirror covers 5 years ago and I just stumbled across a video that some guys back home in Hawaii had installed. While watching the video, I noticed that their instructions were in English and mines being it was straight from Japan was in Japanese. So in the video they showed how to wire the puddle lights. So after 5 years I finally wired them in and it goes on when either front or back doors open. I’ll take pictures in the night time for better view.

Could be your friends model was the exported version, and yours was soposed to stay inhouse?

This is the FSM for my 98. Yours might be different on your year. If you look on the top left corner, that is where your tapping into the Door Courtesy switch. I connected both F/R door switches on both sides so when any door opens, both puddle lights will turn on.

I have 5 brake lights on the back of my truck, so I’m not worried. Plus 4of 5 lights are bright a$$ LED.

Yah I still had the 5 brake light in that picture, but the stock locations were being blocked. That’s why I installed the LED blinker, brakes, and reverse lights on the bottom bar of my bumper. Even though I did that, I still got pulled over by a local PD and he told me that my lights were illegal. My next door neighbor and my cuz’n are state troopers here in WA and they both told me that my lights were legal. The local PD didn’t give me a ticket, he just asked for my paperwork and let me go. That is also why I moved things around to make the minimize clutter

Man, lucky you. I would be making all kinds of stuff if I had access to a lathe.
I remember seeing a 69 old cutlass. The guy popped the hood and it was blinged out with billet. He worked at the pearl harbor ship yard.

Yah my dad retired from Shop 56. He wuz da big boss at the Nuclear SUB division. Most of the things I made for my truck was made out of 6061 & 7075 aluminum. Just wanted to be different for the inside of my truck.
