Is it a drill and tap type of install or did you do the whole fender?

I really forgot how I did it, but I know I looked on line and cross reference where the mirror was to the hood and the marker light. I used a nut and bolt to connect to the fender. The revit nut would of worked good in this application. Did you get one from Japan? [MENTION=139174]TW44LR[/MENTION]

First attempt to cut my teq badge. Off that the far right the bit broke off with a plunge. I’m rewrote my g code to do a ramp on the last operation. I also adjusted my feeds so it doesn’t happen again. The bit broke on the 4th operation. I’m going to go at it again tomorrow morning 1st thing.

Made another bracket for the topside of the stock crossmember. The top of the crossmember to the bottom is 11 degrees, so I programmed the 5 axis CNC machine to cut 11 degrees. I also notched the bracket to except the one inch band to hold it in place. All 4 brackets are T6061 aluminum and were cut on a HAAS CNC machine

Installed my teq badge. This badge I bought from BH3D. The one I made will be installed on my brothers 4runner back home in Oahu,HI. I also made a 2 cup holder on the PRUSA MINI 3D printer in skool yesterday. I also made a 4 cup holder with coin holders. Both were 3D printed and I will make the final revisions tomorrow. All drawings were done on Fusion 360

l already got my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I was going to bridge in the Bachelor program, but decided not to due to the move back to Oahu,HI in June. I just went back to skool in January-March for Winter semester so I don’t forget what I learned the past 2 years. I graduated June 2021. Thanks and I hope you get the chance to make a lot of projects like I did.

Made my last revision of my cup holder. I went with a 3 cup holder instead. Reason is my wife and I carry the big YETI flask and the diameter of those are 4”. My sons YETI is the smaller 2.9” cup. I also made slots for the coins, but I put it towards me instead of the passengers side. Made eight .5” slots for pens, tire pressure gauge, etc. Last hole on the far R was cut .75” for my window punch in case of an emergency. I put it on my wife’s side for her.

How awesome is that! You get to operate cool equipment, making great 1 off stuff. Man I would be stoke to have that access, and make stuff for my rig.
You got 3 months to go, then back to the 808. Being rust is more prominent there, than in WA. Do you have a plan on protecting your rig from rust before transporting back? Maybe fluid film, corroseal, etc.
Or maybe just ship it bare and take care of the rust as it pops up. I was surprised when a friend back home had a hard time finding a body shop to take care of the developing rust on his front windshield on his 2013 Taco.

Nah I’ll take care of it when it comes. The cancer air will overcome eventually, but I will tend to it when it does.
