My Runner left me dead on the road! Please help diagnose.

MAF gamble

Ok, thanks for quick response and followup Skid..am going to hit a couple local 'junkyards' tomorrow morning, and if no luck, will go ahead and order new aftermarket MAFS. Wish me luck~!

Well, sadly, I put a new MAF sensor in, and engine starts, then dies out..it ran for about 15 seconds, now it is down to about 5 seconds and then it seems like it is flooding out and dying. So, I guess the MAF sensor was not the culprit.
Would my next attempt be replacing the air/fuel sensor?--there goes another new tire~arrrghh

You are right Skid, a new post may be the next step, as you seem to be the only one responding here now. My runner is still 'dead on road'..although for $65 tow, it is now DoD...dead on driveway. And with a new MAF sensor to boot ~!--that's a plus, unless of course the aftermarket is blown , just to add confusion to the issue...aaargh. Thanks much for your input.

That blows. I'm not sure what to tell you at this point. I would have done a MAF with P0100 and P0110 codes. If you want to keep throwing money at it on A/F and O2 sensors, you really should stick with Denso sensors from what I''ve read. I searched high and low and found Amazon.com to be the lowest price by a good margin. Check urdusa.com for your specific application and search for the part number on Amazon. Be very careful to match your specific truck, the list can get confusing.
But then again, if it was the A/F causing the problem, a computer reset will allow the truck to fire up and run for a short while. Your issue might be different. Maybe you should start a separate thread to solicit more help?
