Thanks. I had to use it on the harder and steeper stuff. It is unreal how well it works. Wont' go up when off. Turn it on, and it goes right up some seriously steep terrain. You can see it working in the last climb at the end of the video. I had it off on the first try.

Great Video!!! love to see the ATRAC in use and working so well.. i traded my LE for my TE because i wanted the locking rear diff soo bad.. but it seems as i knew before, as yours just backed it up, that they work well....i wish the Moab wasn't soo far from me, i'd be there all the time.. with my girlfriend videotaping too!

Great videos and pics at Moab Snoop! Pretty sure I stayed to the left on that part of the Top of the world trail where you damaged your bumper. Got a couple of big gouges on my left rear door from that Manzanillo tree or whatever it was though that barely buffed out. If it the place I'm thinking ,it's probably safer to go up through the big rocks then the alt around trail as I found out too on the way up. I didn't go that same way on the way back down.lol

I'm planning on going to Moab ,straight from the Summit as it's only a couple of hours away ,and I have that following week off work too. Probably be there from the 21st through the 25th of July if anybody else is interested in going as I think some FJ guys are going over too.

Thanks Harper (and others who commented)! Moab in July. Wow you better check out your AC system before you creep on that! It was average of 57 when we were there, but that direct sun made 57 feel like 80. If I still lived in CO, I would definitely try join you guys.

I really wish we still lived out in CO. We just got back to Charleston, SC two days ago and we already miss that big wide open country for sure! Vail was SOOOO close to Moab and such an easy drive. I am hitting myself for only going two weekends and not more. It was also killing me to see all the roads when we went to Telluride, but knowing they were impassable in the winter, not to mention the ones right near Vail.

The part where I messed up my front right bumper was coming back down the loop running it counterclockwise, and there is a spot where the trail turns hard left and goes back UPHILL on a pretty steep sort-of slickrock, and after that point it turns right again to climb the rest of the hill. I believe there was a bank up above and to the right of that rock I drove up. I never felt it happen. If I would have had my wife videoing it from the top, which I should have, then she would have easily been able to warn me that I was about to hit the bumper. I am headed to New Orleans tomorrow but when I get back, I am gonna try to see if I can buff it out. Any tips of buffing out plastic bumper sections??? It's gauged pretty darn good.

They will only buff out if it's in the clear coat and not thru the bottom layer of paint. The bumper plastic is black so it looks like they went through the paint. Mine was only in the clear coat but after buffing them out I have 2 spots with no clear coat left. They cover up with paint sealant and some wax and I can tell they are there if I look at the right angle. You may need to get yours repainted. I had my bumper plastics painted for $300 when I did the TE conversion but that was front and rear and I knew the guy.

You never know about the weather in Moab.I was there 3 years ago in July and it rained every day with highs only in the 80's meanwhile it was around 110 here in Texas.Storm blew in with thunder and lightning coming down from Top of the World and didn't have much time to enjoy it so look forward to going back.Plus I was with a some FJ's and every body had to take turns out on the ledge.

Here is a picture of me going a little too far left where you went too far right. I got a pinstripe from the tree, but it should buff out, I just haven't done it yet. I think you can try to buff and it will look a little better, but it looks like it's through the paint and down to the base plastic. At least it won't rust!
