I've been experimenting with the rearview mirror and like you said, didn't like it. More recently I've mounted it to the "recovery" loops under the front bumper. The view is kind of cool, but the first mud makes it useless. Next up is likely sticking it to the grill area somehow.

That sounds like a cool perspective, but (as I'm sure you're aware) extremely exposed. My recovery loops get scraped up badly from rocks when I'm offroad.

Strolling Youtube tonight and came across [MENTION=79132]Nyc-Runner[/MENTION] and myself video bombing a Jeep Freaks Handicorn youtube bit at Rausch Creek during the FJNortheasters 2015 run. I've come close, and I pretty much ruined my front skid plate today, but I've never hit the recovery loops. I have been nervous about it so I keep my phone connected so I can see it fall off. It's also impossible to see through the lens after the first mud puddle.

I know a lot of people think crawl control is gimmicky, but it would dance all over those rocks. I probably use it more than I should though

I tried the windshield in this video, and didn't like it...

Rear view mirror but don't use superwide. I have clamped it to my roller fairlead and shot in higher frame rate, looks interesting. More interesting I clamped one to my slider tube so you can see the front tire absorb and mold over obstacles. Just don't forget about it don't think it would tear off brushing stuff but if you land on your slider you could do some damage.

You have to have something interesting happening in the frame (tires, ground shots, brushing bushes, ect) if you are running solo, else you don't really capture the essence of it, just looks like your driving circles. Steep in truck = shart from dash cam ;-)

Yankee Hill by Central City, CO

Here are a few of the tamer sections I got to enjoy with family on Yankee Hill. It was only my second time using 4low and my amateurism is obvious, but it was still a blast for me. It is a great road for a newb to get associated with the different 4x4 tech on the 4runner. Nothing is outrageously brutal and it is a fairly well traveled road near a city full of off road vehicles.

The 4runner took my mistakes with a grin. I love this vehicle.
