Why the paranoia?
Why are you guys so paranoid? Cool down, no one is taking your guns.

Did you not read the article? Or are you just baiting people again?
Texas is turning bluer by the day.
This is very true. I was so surprised when I moved to Texas. I always imagined open carry would be legal here (not that I agree with open carry), and it wasn't. In Indiana you have a license to carry a handgun, how you carry it is up to you.
Calm down - no need to go Eric Cartman here... there are plenty of other reasons to dislike this guy.

Well, Austin is the California of Texas!![]()
Maybe because this jerk has armed security protecting his family.
And this a$$ wipe dictating how others should live their lives.

I can't say I have any gripes about the gun laws in VA. Open carry is fine, shall issue concealed handgun permits, all NFA controlled items are legal, no silly magazine capacity bans, or restrictions on so called "assault weapons". Only little quirk is we are required to prove citizenship to purchase any firearm with a threaded barrel. I just use my birth certificate. Hell, the NRA headquarters is based here.
I'm hoping it stays that way for good.
I do too.
Didn't VA just elect a democratic governor?

Reasons like this is exactly why it upsets me when the gov wants to tighten gun control. There are times when the people need to fight back. I'm really hoping the citizens of NYC do the same.
Noob, seriously...
As for a response, it is NYC, they have BANNED large soda drinks.
I haven't seen that trend anywhere else in the US. And no, as a standard the rest of the US does not follow NYC. Northeast yes- the rest of the US, no.
I think everyone needs to step back from the panic button and stand down from the fear mongering and let NYC worry about NYC.
If you don't like what NYC is doing, don't live there.
If you don't like what your state is doing- move, better yet- vote. Better yet, organize like minded people to campaign for people/politicians that share your ideas.
If you still don't like what's going on, wait until 2016, things will probably change..
