One more question.

The NorthStar NSB-AGM-31 with a single positive post has a 4 year warranty and the NSB-AGM-31M with a dual positive posts has a 3 year warranty.

Specs between these two batteries are identical.

So why is there a warranty difference between these two?

Having dual positive battery posts is a nice convenience to have but is it worth to choose over a single positive post to sacrifice 1 years worth of warranty?

Any thoughts?

Bump to this question... Also, whats the advantage to the dual terminals.. Any info is appreciated.

Personally I went with the marine with dual terminals to help clean up my aux lighting wiring as well as to have another mount for my big three cable upgrade when I get a dc power high output alternator.

Got my dual 31m batteries today. Will need to modify my main battery ground. But both batteries are being charged right now before install with my cteck us25000 charger.

Thank you Mr. Ortiz, 27F in a 5th gen using battery tray out of 4th gen makes for a nice little upgrade. No mods to the truck, looks like it came that way

Got mine installed today group 31M. Took less than an hour with light fab work.

Have it on charger now to get it up to full charge. Anyone needs tips let me know. I have to go back and zip tie some wired but install was smooth

I want to say yes, but im waiting for him to send me an invoice before its official. He did keep rushing me, seemed like he wanted to finalize before the weekend

Probably because he was already heading out there before the weekend, to the northstar factory that is. He lives in the same area where they get produced and he picks them up directly from them

BTW, JEGS has a metal battery tray that fits the 27F perfect and slips into a 4th and 5th gen location without issue, held in by an oem nut, and uses OEM tiedowns

just put in the 31m, had to take the negative post off the batter and converted back to stud application, too tall on my end so the hood wont close.
my second battery fit just fine in the back replacing the other die hard.
