Thanks everyone! The coilover is fixed, but there are still some nagging issues. I may need to get a double cardan front driveshaft. There is a vibration when I let off the accelerator. That and some other minor details that I wish were already taken care of.:gun4:

Your truck to be frank is a marvel of engineering. I must ask and please dont be offended but were you nervous when going that far in modding your 4runner? Everything on that truck looks custom made! way to go! must have been hard with the 4th gen and seen as there isnt a strong aftermarket for them. Oh and I love that F250 now I want one again! thats the way I would have mine modded but not lifted!

I was totally nervous. I'm still working out some bugs, but the truck was designed and built by some very capable folks at Iron Pig. So while, there still are a few gotchas remaining, the best thing to do (if not doing it yourself) is go with a shop that has a reputation for quality builds and use the boards for advice (T4R, 120, MUD, TTORA, Pirate, Yotatech, etc).

I'm waiting on a new Inchworm transfer case to make my truck part time 4wd (and probably a double cardan front drive shaft), so I'm not driving it much due to a front driveshaft vibration.

roams what would u say to someone wanting to do this but start with a 2wd?? would THAT person be crazy or after dropping some serious bank and a good shop working on it would it be good?? haha THAT person would be me of course not now but in a few years.... maybe there will be some kits for the 4th gens?!

If you have the money saved up and plenty of time...it's your money and time to use it as you see fit.

Buy a used daily driver, cause you're not going to want to drive the 4R everywhere and you can't fit in to parking garages.

If I had to do it over, I'd probably just buy a 40, 60 or 80 series.

so when i finally get around to it i should have roughly 10k to put into it??? more or less? it will definitly be 4 years at a minimum.

If you're having a shop do all the work with new axles, I'd budget 3x that amount. You can just do the front for probably about 15K.

well jeez let me go win the lottery then get it done haha. but i really want to do it so 30k it is im starting to save tomorrow haha....but in all seriousness it will prob take me 6 years to save enough.

toyota will be near the end of 5th gen 4runner by then

are you using the factory buttons for 4hi 4lo or did u cut your counsel to add a stick or sticks?

Ram Mount Base and Lokar Shifter with First Gear and Overdrive lockouts (I'll install the box after I think about the setup I want...extend the twin sticks, etc)
