For anyone else wondering about the possibility of a second sub for 4Runners without 3rd row, I asked and got this reply,
"There has been some internal consideration to produce a secondary subwoofer option for the listener that desires a bit more impact. Nothing official at this point. We are proud to deliver our signature sound with our configuration as is without the need of additional cost or components to our Listeners. That being said, YES!!! If a secondary sub option is introduced in the future we’ll ensure there is an upgrade pathway for existing owners."
I'm probably going to order the Reference 4Q package as-is. I'm not looking for big thumping bass anyway...just better sound quality and more amplification. If this wasn't mentioned already, the set-up is now $1599 on pre-order...I think I saw someone post the cost as $1699 elsewhere.
