Opinion of Party Mode?

You guys are morons! You have to press the button and then go outside to the rear end of the truck.

Dozens of girls in bikinis will suddenly appear w/ cold beer and whip cream.

I've got a 2011 Limited and there's definitely a difference when Party Mode is on.

Out of curiosity, do you have the nav with JBL, or is your Limited a non nav?

I have a Limited and there is definitely a difference on mine!

According to the wiring diagram it's a relay and has to be in the amp as I changed my HU to a Pioneer,all my speakers and "Party Mode" still works.Everything but the amp.

Both sets of 6 inch rear speakers(rear doors and liftgate speakers) work when pressed but it gives more power to the liftgate speakers and adds more bass or lowers the low pass filter. Probably similar to what crossovers do.I think my stereo has a better sound stage with the rear seats down and in Party mode and is usually how I roll.

One thing about it is it's unique! What other vehicles ever made have a oem party mode!?!?:naughty:

Must have been a option on the limited, Don't get that on the SR5 Dang it, I knew I should've bought the limited!!! .. That or mines not working properly, anyone have the factory repair manual for the 'party mode'?

For what it's worth, I have a 2010 Limited with JBL and Navi and my "Party Mode" does not work either. A few weeks after getting my truck I packed it full of outdoor tile and soil bags. I opened up the hatch and thought itd be a good time to rock out to some tunes while doing some yard work. I sat there pushing the button on and off while walking back and forth to the rear and couldnt tell a difference at all. Im not bent over it since I dont think its something Id use often.

I can also confirm that no chicks in bikini's arrived with drinks. Bummer.

Though my friends were like, "Does that say 'Party Mode'?!" Whether it works or not, it does seem to get a bit of attention!

I see (hear) little difference with Party Mode on, other than a slight redirection to rear doors as mentioned in the manual. I just adjusted the cound controls on the NAV to push it back a little, and left it alone.

Also, I'll confirm that the 'bikini' option is not offered thru Gulf States Toyota. Must be lagging like some of the other aftermarket goodies....
