Passenger side front seatbelt buckle replacement

2005 V6 4wd 135,000 miles

the passenger side front seat belt sometimes wouldn't click into the buckle. anyone experienced this and know a fix? Worst case, can the buckle piece (female with belt release) an easy DIY, if I order a replacement from Toyota Service dept? Any special tools other than regular socket, wrench and screw drivers?

my daughter got it all full of sticky crap and same thing happened...after cleaning it out and some wd40 and sliding it in and out a few times it's good as new.
