My guy didn't seem to have any issues when I initially wanted to go with 20% up front I believe I could have easily driven away with 20% up front no questions asked.

Now - if he would have actually put the "Certified" sticker on - I dunno Then the issue is back in my lap when I go to get my State Inspection or if I get stopped by a copper (when the cop cruisers have like 5% tint on the front windows and a laptop prominently mounted up front! What would be two tickets for me is 100% kosher if you drive a police car :moping: )...

Stupid cop, it's okay for you to have 20% and not okay for regular civilians to have 35%????

I would love you to pull me over and my 35%. I would find where you live and break all you windows. Luckily not all cops are idiots like you.

I'm a LEO in MD and I don't really enforce the tint unless you are already giving me another reason to pull you over or if you have like 5-10% and I can't see anything at all inside the vehicle, even when I'm standing next to it. I also stop people for having the entire windshield tinted. Now that Equipment Repair Orders can be printed from the car and we no longer have to hand write them, you may see an increase in repair orders being issued.

Oh and BTW, I have stopped people for 20% tint and even 35% tint. Most car windows come tinted very slightly from the factory and adding 35% tint to that actually puts it below the legal limit.

I have 20% on my front two windows and it matches perfectly. Got mine done at D&L also, at the Parkville shop.

SolarGuard 20% on top of factory Rear Doors/Port Windows/Rear Window. Left fronts as the dealer had them @ 35% (dealer also used SolarGuard on the fronts). SolarGuard supposedly blocks 99% of UV - good for your interior and internal temps beyond the "look" the tint provides...

Solar guard (the maker) also makes about a half dozen different types of film.

I ended up getting the 20% Solar Guard at D&L - everything just like you said. At night, it's pretty dark, and can actually be a little difficult to see so I take extra time when I look through the window to enter traffic at night. I took my wife there to get her Subaru Impreza tinted, and she ended went with 35% Solar Guard. Even that is pretty dark. My 4R looks great, but if I were to do it all over again, I'd probably get the 35%.

Do you have any recent pics? I would love to see this tint on a Silver SR5.
