On a related topic, it is interesting that the poll is shifting towards regret. Of course, this poll is totally non-scientific but fun nonetheless. I think that Obama is not all bad, but certainly is one of the most controversial President that we have had in recent times...and not because of his skin color. I think what makes the wound worst is how much he has gone against his "principles" that were the pillars of his election run in 2008. Remember how much he derided Bush in 2008?? It makes him a grand and arrogant liar...to a much higher degree than what most of us expect from politicians. In addition, his appointed staff has been a perfect example of incompetence, mischiefs, and deception.

Are we more respected to the world's eyes today because of Obama and his staff? Or are we the example of a corrupt and incompetent society? Are we any closer to making friends with the Muslim world today because of Obama? Has the Nobel Peace Prize become a joke?

It sounds like you were only given a warning and suspended. Being banned is different, that would mean you were banished.

If COB suspended you then I assume you did something egregious because he is not an uptight guy. What did you do?

If your argument was that smoking and driving is bad in any combination then I would have to agree.

I remember reading last week about a study that showed marijuana-impaired drivers were no more likely to be involved in a wreck than a "sober" driver. There have been several documentaries filmed that discuss this topic as well. Now that recreational use is legal in some areas of the country - I bet we hear more about the topic in the coming years. For me, the jury is still out.....

I'll see if I can find this article / study I read and will post it back here if I can.

My posts were removed. It was egregious and personal so guilty as charged. It was a suspension, not a ban I guess.....but it doesn't make him any less than what he is.

Isn't his Presidency supposed to be the most transparent administration ever?

The words "transparency" and "Nobel Peace Prize" are now part of a running joke with this administration.

Can anyone remember his exact words with regards to transparency? I'm thinking we're on the wrong side of all this transparency business - every piece of our lives are being pieced together by the man - but we know very little about him personally and professionally it seems.

So when you're given the opportunity to advise the current administration and can provide them an example of a prior administration that set a fine example of what "transparency" is all about, which one would that be and why?

I can't say there has been a transparent administration that I'm aware of. The comparison you'd like me to make is akin to trying to pick up a turd from the clean end and I'm not willing to engage in an argument of which pile of shit is cleaner than the other.

Can you tell me another administration that made one of the principles of their campaign to enter the office set on transparency and openness? What happened to posting all important issues on an open forum giving everyone an opportunity to educate themselves about the day to day dealings in the WH?

Or maybe all those Executive Orders where Obama bypassed the proper, Constitutionally-approved channels for government, and no one found out until AFTER they were laws. If it wasn't for the scandals, we would never even know most of what Obama does once he's safely locked behind closed doors with his partners-in-crime. He's about as transparent as a cement wall--those he's supposed to be serving (the ACTUAL citizens of the U.S.A.) only find out what he's been up to when the sewage starts leaking through the cracks in the wall.

You "find out" nothing. They feed you what they want to feed you. And they are scraps. To have ever thought or EXPECTED otherwise is foolish. Transparency and openness is a marketing slogan. Nothing more.

That's not how the system was designed to operate. Big, corrupt government (I.e. the democrat party) brought about the conditions you mention and normalized it. Smaller govt and less authority and funding can reverse the course we're on.

I think if you're honest with us and yourself, you'd see his policies are very similar - worse in some areas, less in others. I appreciated "the last man" and even voted for him once. No administrations policies will severely impact the lives of people who are willing to work, earn, and sweat. Too many of our fellow citizens are unwilling to sacrifice, are supremely lazy, and find it easier to want, want, want and get BMW's and $600k homes on $60k salaries and then ***** and moan. How many 4runner owners have $500 payments coming for years who cannot afford it and then cut in other areas that should get priority? I bet lots. Live within your means and kick some ass and you won't care one bit about anyone's policies.

One could say the same thing about all the middle class O voters who live in places like NJ, make a good dual income of > $120k and bought a house, made all the payments and then someone lost their job leading to foreclosure. Sometimes "live within your means" is a relative statement.
