No. That's just what you want to believe.
Isn't that a two way street? What makes what i believe wrong? What makes those liberal thoughts rolling in that head of yours right? Isn't that just being ignorant?

One could say the same thing about all the middle class O voters who live in places like NJ, make a good dual income of > $120k and bought a house, made all the payments and then someone lost their job leading to foreclosure. Sometimes "live within your means" is a relative statement.

Because you have a ridiculous obsession with Obama bashing. Yes, our gov't makes bad calls and does dumb things - if this new to you the past few years then I don't know where you've been. You've never seen scandals before? This has always been the case and never do you walk in their shoes and know what they know.
My point is to make most of it, regardless of who or what is the helm, irrelevant by having the buffer that you'll only have by elevating yourself and your means. There's only one way to do that and its only up to one person. You'll know your there when the taxes go up and the healthcare goes up, and you don't lose an ounce of sleep over it. Back when the "last man" was here (and who I held in fairly high regard), $300k 401k's were sitting at $40k for quite a while - now that's something to lose sleep over.
Healthcare...what do YOU know about it? I live it...I breathe it. And yes, it has affected my job a whole lot. It has affected the place I work. It has affected the patients that I treat daily.
See...we differ. I was perfectly OK with the Clinton era...despite the drama of it. Why? Because despite Clinton's liberalism, he also knew how to compromise. The era did not affect me or my family. I did not bash Clinton at that time.
I am fairly well off. I have no loans nor mortgage. My household income is above average. Of course, I have a buffer and sleep fairly well. However, does that mean that I keep quiet in hope that my buffer will always be there? Do I keep quiet while the culture around me changes...or do I still have to wait until my daughter is prego at 12 years old before I whine? Do I have to sit still while the world loses respect of my country? What is the breaking point before I question the government? For you, I guess that it would be the point where you loses everything before you speak up?? That is just plain stupidity...not even liberalism...but stupidity.
Healthcare...what do YOU know about it? I live it...I breathe it. And yes, I has affected my job a whole lot. It has affected the place I work. It has affected the patients that I treat daily. JohnnyT, what the f**k do you know about healthcare?!
So, yeah, we are different JohnnyT...please don't think that we are the same at any point of this discussion. Fair?
How much could the Health Care reform act have really effected you? It only went partially into effect a few months ago in Jan.
Your statements about kids and preggo never make sense. You are always the first to blame the parents but yet you state fear that your kid might become preggo because of the direction of the country or liberals or Hollywood or whatever. But if you're a good parent then by your own logic that is impossible.
Where you think if I lose everything some external force is to blame, I only think I am to blame for not having enough awareness and acting on what's going on around me.
Your little tirade on HC is baffling since I do not know nor care about much of it or the industry. I pay it, it works, I move on. But I certainly do know what i need to.
It's funny. RonMaiden, for instance, is a liberal baller like yourself. He, too, thought that Obama was great. I am not sure if he still thinks that, but his wife lost her job (or she was forced to part-time I forgot) because her job had to downsize due to pressure from Obama HC act. (Hopefully, he can chime in.) Sometimes, your current way of living may change in an instance. You may not even see it coming. There are many stories like that...companies are forcing people to part-time positions (or laying off) to avoid the penalty of providing health insurance and whatnot. And how easy is it to find work these days? It must be real easy from the way you're writing, huh? I see it everyday as more and more un-insured regular folks cross my hospital's ER. And this affects my hospital's earnings...and thus affects the staff...and thus affects the patient care.
Ahh, I see that you know nothing about HC. Nice. Wait a year or two before you make a statement about how nice it is for you. It will affect you, either thru your wallet or thru the care that you receive from healthcare providers (note...I am using this term and not doctors). Hopefully, you are a healthy person in need of little care. If you're not, then good luck because you will need it.

Hey Brian, how's the bike?
I don't live in a box. My kids don't either. Good parenting goes a long way and the more important of the two factors, but I am also not blind to peer pressure and outside influence.
BTW.... The reason why you first started this idiotic thread has finally come to fruition - so you can hear yourself talk. CONGRATULATIONS !
I realize that kids are influenced by other things than the parents and unlike you I don't think we should punish children for having bad parents. If even your well off kids are at risk then sympathize with those from lessor backgrounds.
I believe in community / government investment in children. Publicly funded HS / college / libraries / food if-needed / healthcare etc.
Strange isn't it...the same can be said about you. Actually, i did not really make much comments in this thread until you and Brian started to become vocal. So, before you start pointing fingers, you may want to look in the mirror.
I like that when you have nothing intelligent to say, you go all girly on me with insults. Thanks for proving my point. Funny how you think that you know healthcare more than me. :flipoff:
Punish kids for bad parents?! Huh? What?! By not giving them full un-limited un-supervised access to morning after pill? Just because FDA rushed it thru to please the liberals? Because FDA is never wrong? Want examples of FDA foolishness? Ask any experienced doctor that you know. You better get ready for some soul searching after that!!
I believe in parenting...a whole lot! In fact, if my kids turn bad, then it is me who is at fault. But, i also realize that my kids are around other kids...they watch TV. It is like what my mother used to say...kids are like a growing tree. Your job as a parent is to trim the branches as they stick out so that the tree grows straight and healthy. The more liberal society means that there will be more branches...and sometimes the branches are thick and hard to trim. Or that the society pressures prevent me from cutting the branches too early. So, while the gardener (me) is the sole responsible party for the tree, it is ill-advised to give the gardener plastic playschool scissors and put plastic protectors over it...and then later wonder why the tree is all f**ked up. But, i guess that the nursery then has to use more resources to keep watering the screwed up tree forever.
I am not sure if my analogy works, but hopefully, you get my point.
Who is going to push the uneducated, the jobless, etc. to be better? By giving them more incentives to stay home? I have patients that have tons of kids just to get a check(s) from govt...no need to work. Great income. They NEVER want their tubes to be tied. Pregnancy every damn year. Never one daddy. Unfortunately, more than a few found out that, when they develop medical issues, they canNOT get Medicaid because their monthly government checks result in too much income!Oh, the irony of it all! Sometimes, in my profession, you gotta laugh.
I believe in social programs to a point. Where we are heading though is concerning IMHO.
Your mother is a very wise woman and yes, you see things that most of us do not.
But there will always be that percentage of people that are uneducated, selfish, and jobless. Finding an answer is more than difficult and any gov't can only try one approach or another and continue adnauseum. There will be plenty of "if it will fail, fail fast, change it, and move on" along the way in the spirit of making any smidge of progress so the next administration can come in and take their best shot and what makes sense at that moment in time.
Haha.... I stopped after the first sentence. You should really donate your brain to science as ther MUST be some organisms of unknown origin in there that could either help or eliminate all mankind.
BTW.... The reason why you first started this idiotic thread has finally come to fruition - so you can hear yourself talk. CONGRATULATIONS !
It took you 5 pages to finally realize that?![]()
Haha...eddie, back to your cheap shots, huh? I can't believe that you still hold a grudge. Geez.
I hold no grudges, without the cheap shots from the sideline, it would just be you two bickering![]()

To get everyone insured so that these "freeloaders" stop draining the ER's of resources. I thought that was why the CBO said that it would save money in the long run. It stops the losses from uninsured people getting emergency care when they finally get so sick that they end up in the ER.
