Saw it on the Toytec fb page. I searched like mad on this forum and I don't think the owner of this '14 is a member. Anyways, I think it's pretty bad ass. The lift and wheels definitely take away from the akwardness of the new front end.

Agreed completely! As others have pointed out the new front end looks a lot more pronounced in the lighter coloured make-ups. That lift makes a big difference!

Love it!

Toytec lift with TE wheels and 285s

I don't think I ever posted after my suspension changes.

Toytec Ultimate lift kit, with the 5100 adjustable coilovers in front, and the kit Bilsteins with 1 1/2" spacers in the rear. I first tried the kit springs in the rear, but it was a little higher than I wanted.

The actual ride height change from the suspension is 2 1/2" higher than stock in the front and 1 3/4" higher in the rear. Overall ride height is an additional 1/2" more than those numbers due to larger tires.

The tires are Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo in P285/70 R17. Great tires, decent look with outstanding ride, firm but not harsh handling, and they are very quiet.

The ride and handling is noticeably better with the Toytec kit than with the stock x-reas suspension.

I tried aftermarket wheels and decided to go back to stock sized wheels, so I picked up some TE wheels from one of the guys on the forum. I wanted a pretty stock appearance, so I'm happy with the overall look and performance and don't plan to mess with it any more. To me it looks like it should have when I picked it up from the dealer. Thought I would throw this out there for anyone considering going the conservative route.

Where was that pic taken? Mojave National Preserve?

Well, I can finally post in my specs in this thread....

Toytec Ultimate, LR UCA's, Bilstien 5160s for the rear. Tires are Duratracs 285 70 17. I am still rubbing full lock so I'll have to do some trimming.
I am either going to go with new wheel or get spacers to keep from rubbing the UCA's.

Good choice going w/ the 5160's in the rear. I have them and really like the way they feel.

This is my very first truck all I had in the past were sport cars, I like the looks of the 4runner with the lift mostly and I'd like to get in to some off-roading later, maybe playing in the snow a little and some mild off-road, I'd like to get the 285/70/17 duratrac installed and I think I'll need the lift to make them fit. The brand like I said is Revtek

Hey guys this is my first post in this sight. I've gotten rid of my 12 tacoma TRD off road and ordered a 2014 sr5 4R 4wd. Ya'll have some gorgeous rides on here. I was thinking about leveling mine out what would ya'll recommend? Seems like a lot of u run spacer lifts. My tacoma had 5100's on it set at 1.75 and an 1.5 AAL. I was pretty rough on it and don't plan on being rough on the 4R. I has to travel some pretty rough red clay roads to get to my hunting lease and that's about it. About how much does it usually take to get the rake out? 1-1.5" or more like 2" ? I figure a spacer would be fine for my needs since it won't be hardcore wheeling. What do you guys think? I'm ready to get this thing I go pick it up tomorrow times crawling by too

Hey I have the 2014 as well and I'm looking to do the same thing you are. I am not sure if our trucks are any different but I see a lot of people on the 10-13 going with 2.5/1 to give a little extra clearance so I'm guessing if you only want to change the front a 1.5 would do it. It's truck specific though of course so you'll have to measure your truck.

Welcome to the forum! I think generally speaking you want about +1.75" to get it visually leveled (if you go past that you start to run into the risk of reverse rake, especially if you load up the truck). This thread is probably not the best place to ask questions though, I doubt anyone's going to see it, lol. Try searching using this method: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...te-search-toyota-4runner-5th-gen-section.html

What I recommend is just go through this entire thread, you will probably see every single conceivable lift combination known to man here. Then you will have an idea of what you personally like best :)

I forgot to update my previous post with the completed lift pictures. This is with OME 883 up front and SAW rear coils, on 5100s all around (265/70R17 tire size)

I measured ~2" rake with this combination, which is pretty much the same as the factory rake (and exactly what I wanted :))

Thank you for your help and sharp ride. I left my tacoma to where it had a slight rake in case I hauled anything, but I rarely ever did. So I was gonna try to get close to level. Once again thanks
