Does any one run 3" front/ 2" rear with stock UCAs? I've heard mixed results and wold like to see it before I start my lift once my 6112s come in.

If 3" in the front requires new UCAs, will 2.5" still require them as well?

I lifted a 2011 Sr5 with 5100's to 1.75 and the alignment tech was not able to get it perfect. Since then I traded in the 2011 on a 2014 trail, I used 5100's @ 2.5" with spc uca's and it was easy to get it in spec. Get the uca's and do it right the first time!

Installed the Daystar Lift. Well, just the front. Not sure if I am going to put the back on, only a half inch higher in front. Attempted to put the back on and realized that I had the 5" stops which requires different spacers than what came in the kit. I am planning on getting the 275/55/20 BFG KO2's. Still have not wrote the check. Originally was going with the Nittos, but read about rough riding which concerned me a bit. What do you guys think?View attachment 239765

Ended up putting the back coil spacers on after all. If you are going with Daystar front and rear kit, it is worth you while to see what size back stops you have in the rear. Now I have spacers for the 4.? with no use for them. Put Cooper RTX 275/55/20's. Does look quite tougher, but still wish I could go bigger. 7" and xreas smh20170221_161354.jpg20170221_153956.jpg

Finally put in some rear springs and brought the front coilovers up.

2" Icon springs
12 turns on the King coilovers.

Brought it up about 2.5 in the rear and 2.3 in the front.

Damn that looks really good......maybe soon my 4Runner will grow up and become like this one!

How do you like old man EMU BP51? Looking for a suspension upgrade? is your set up with a 3" lift? Thanks

It rides awesome. Wife, friends and family said it feels the same as stock, but my opinion is it's just a little firmer than that but not by much. The dampening/rebound is more responsive; not as much 'bounce' as stock. Haven't messed with all the settings either, might just leave them where they are as things feel right.

Choosing the correct rear springs will make a difference. I went with the 2895Es as they're light/stock type of springs. Just for reference:

The 2889 is 390mm long
The 2895E is 375mm long and the same spring rate.

It's around 3" lift in the front, little less in the rear. Also added Light Racing adjustable UCAs, they are a must have, helps with the camber/alighment.

One last thing to mention - there's no 'official' t4r BP-51 kit yet; we used the one for the FJ. ARB said they will release new BP-51s around March for T4Rs which will have slightly different valving.

Awesome. Thanks for the information. Appreciate it. I have been hearing good things about this supsension. I will wait to see when they release the suspension for the 4runner. Have a great day!

SO in a few weeks i'll be installing my ToyTec Boss kit. Has anyone ever installed stock front coilovers from a 4Runner on a 2nd or 3rd gen Tacoma? I'm curious to know if the stock 4Runner coilover will offer any lift to a Tacoma.

I see the favorite is the 285s for tires it seems.. anybody running 275s on SR5 rims? I've looked though like the last 40 pages and may have missed it.. I'm trying to decide between the 2.5/1.5 lift or just a 2" level.. doing 275s either way though on the stock rim.. and thinking bout a 1/4" Bora spacer I wanna see how flush the tire sits with the flares

Just put the bilstein 5100's set to 1.75 on the front and had zero issue with alignment. Just had it done about an hour ago. I was very worried about it that's why I didn't go 2.5 but with numbers below I'm going to move it up before long.

I literally just told the Tech to max the caster but keep camber within spec. Not sure if I should have them match caster each side or if it's ok to leave as is but numbers are surprising with stock UCAs from what I've seen.

Driver/Passenger
Caster: 3.6/4.2
Camber: .6/.5
Toe: .07/.08
Total toe: .15
