I looked at the kit you bought, good kit, but the adjustability was worth the little extra $ to me so I could dial everything in. Also gives you as much or as little lift as you want for future upgrades.

You're 100% right. I'm normally good with my research, but didn't realize the lean would be a problem. Hindsight, I would have went with the kit you posted. Oh well.

After about 8 months with my first 4Runner I finally got around to some mods. 3" lift with new Fuel Beast 18's with Nitto Trail Grapplers. In the process of blacking out all the chrome. Next will be N-Fab nerf bars then Gobi Stealth Rack.

Only place to purchase it is ToyTec. Check out their site. You can buy it as a whole front and rear lift kit or just buy front coilovers and do something else in the back. For the $13XX for the whole kit, you cant beat it IMO

Do you personally run the ultimate? I'm looking at purchasing it but I'm stuck between the Boss and Ultimate. Although it kinda sounds like the ultimate is a bit more "user friendly" no? Lol

It is this lift here 3" Lift W/ Bilstein 5100 Front Coilovers FJ/4Runner/GX

On my previous 4Runner I had just the 5100's on stock springs. This lift is a little stiffer but in a good way. The bilsteins take most of the nose dive on braking away and the Toytec springs make it a little less wallowy (is this a word?) than just 5100's alone.

Also with the lift coils in the rear vs. a spacer it seems to squat less when loaded, but I don't have any measurements from my previous ride to confirm this. These are the standard rear coils not the HD.

I haven't taken it off road yet. Just got the truck a few weeks ago and have been adding parts. I did crawl some curbs to check clearance and ended up removing the mud flaps due to rubbing.

What's the garage height? I'm moving into an apartment in April with a 6' 8" height limit which should be enough for the no-rise Gobi I ordered but if I lift mine it won't be more than 1" in the rear (if at all) so I'm not too concerned. But I'll definitely be getting close at that point.
