Price advice on 2014 SR5 Upgrade pkg in Canada

Have been following this forum for a coupel of months, and finally removed Grand Cherokee & Ford Explorer from my list. After I saw one (2014 SR5 with Upgrade pkg in Red), I do not want to wait anymore until 2015 models for better rebates.

I'm living in Alberta, Canada. The OUT of DOOR price the salesman gave is 43,000 CAD, where the MSRP on this one (SR5 with Upgrade pkg, no other add-ons) is 46,250 CAD.

Is this a good price to buy? Considering this is really the 1st dealer I tried, I hope there might be one dealer here at Calgary willing to sell at 42,000.

I did a carcostcanada quote and gave invoice plus $500. They ordered one for me in the Toronto area for that price - plus gave free rust protection and front window tint.

I'd keep shopping. Or, wait until the 2015s hit and you could probably pick up a 2014 Limited for around that price if they need to sell. Is OTD incl tax?

I called Cochrane Toyota, they wanted to sell me a SR5 premium for Msrp 44600 plus gst. Plus finance it for 96 months. WTH? Bad salesman?

I did try unhaggle.com before, and one dealer also gave me 43,000(including tax and everything), saying it was a Employee Price.

It does include tax (5%). Right now there are not many 4Runners in dealer's lot.
Maybe there will be more later in the summer?

Is this the Invoice price you're talking? I got it from Unhaggle.com.

BTW, how does the rust protection work? Every part of the vehicle? Excuse me if it's silly question.

Keep shopping. Try Edmonton and Red Deer dealers. You are entering the busy buying season though.

Looking at that invoice report, it seems like you have room to negotiate. If you know exactly what you want, it's simply a matter of emailing every dealership within the radius you are willing to travel and have at it.
