Project Stormtrooper (01 SC build)

Went to the junkyard today here in Georgia. I am here for a few months for school. Was trying to find a sport hood but no luck in that.

Found a 2000 limited with some wood grain interior. The center cluster piece was broken and all of the window switches were already gone. Picked up all 3 of these pieces for $18.

Some of y'all Georgia people can help me out with some junkyards that would be great.

I have the center radio part and switches in wood grain. If you're interested. I'm swapping everything to black since I couldn't find the pieces you actually just picked up. Ha lol

Been awhile without any updates. Was in Georgia for the past few months doing some school for the Army. Been back home for about a week now. Brought something back home with me.

Picked up a daily. 99 Honda Civic DX hatch. Used to be a big Honda guy back in the day. Still focused on the 4runner but the Honda might get some love. Oh ya, its a 5 speed. Already done some mods if anyone is interested on progress.


The person who had the 4runner before me had some stick on wood grain. Over the years it was starting to peel off and looked pretty bad. Walking around my local junkyard there was a 99 limited with all the wood grain parts minus the drivers switch.


For my wife's 5th gen.


Had a good bit of rake. So i picked these up today to swap out the rear springs to hopefully level it out,
 
Very nice build, sir. Especially love the retrofit projector headlights with the Porsche shrouds. They are huge and look amazing. Was that a kit specifically for the 3rd gen from @theretrofitsource?

Overall, sweet truck man. Super jelly of the blower of course. You found a gem and are making it even better all around.

Nice build m8! You're already way ahead of my stormtrooper ha I'll see you around the 719 some time. Any recommendations on interior cargo nets?
 
Picked these up for $80. Gonna clean them up. Worst case I can get them powder coated or painted black.

Finally home from Europe. Got some time to do a few things to the 4runner. I will be posting better pictures. Picked a Nikon D3400 for black friday.

Installed my 1" Toytec body lift.

Went to my local junkyard. Saw a wrecked land cruiser. Looked in the back and found this. Gonna modify it to fit in the 4runner. Its about 4" to wide. Paid $13 for it.

Got around to doing a few things. Wired up my LED's for the DRL and my 1" body lift.

Updates

Been awhile since I have done any updates. I have since added an adjustable rear track bar and finally mounted my ARB air compressor.

My Sonoran adjustable rear track bar. It was clearly more beefy that the stock unit. Never really noticed how offset my axle was until I went to install this. The rear end feels more stable now when I hit bumps.

Next up was the ARB compressor. My friend had a sheet of aluminum diamond plate. Made a template from cardboard and cut it out. Also my winch box sits on the same plate. Will be nice to air up my own tires and a front locker? Hopefully in the near future. Want a rear bumper first though.

All done. You might notice some tape but thats holding the rubber around the outside of the plate until it cures.

Udates

So I got the chance to install my SPC UCA the other day. Install went pretty smooth. Need to take it in this week for an alightment.

Picked up this drawer system at a junk yard from a 100 series land cruiser. Paid $13 for it cause they had to charge me for the carpet. Had to modify it to fit in the back of the 4Runner. Thats why one pf the drawers is smaller the the other. Still need to finish trimming the carpet and staple the carpet.

Looking forward to seeing these LC wheels on your rig. How much did you pay for them? Will you need spacers for the rear?

I picked up the wheels for $80 and painted them. Picked up a set of 315s for $140 on craigslist also. I did it last weekend I will break out the DSLR and take some good pics.
