Quality LED at non Rigid pricing?

Anyone running 3" LEDs other than RIGID and is HAPPY with them? I know Rigid is great but $400 for 2 3" spots is a bit rich.

I am looking at Rugged Ridge

Anyone? Beuller?

It's tough to wade through all the options. There's a LOT of junk out there.
I don't have any specific brands to reccomend on the spots that you're looking for, but in general when I look at a LED light MFG, I always look at the IP rating.
IP67 = cheap seals, its probably gonna leak water and fog up, eventually short out lights etc.
IP68 = Good seals, more cost involved to build but higher quality.

I know that's pretty vague info, but I've found it to be a good rule of thumb.

I bought a pair off ebay that are decent. I have some rigid I got from Christmas ands hands down I've yet to find something equivalent in light output. Just amazed at it. .but yeah the price. Lol

Please don't just look at IP codes, especially between 67 and 68: IP Code - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is actually read IP-6-7. The first 6 is the same between 6-7 and 6-8, which means dust tight.

The 2nd number(water tightness) - 7 means "immersion of 1m and 30min", while 8 just means "better than 7, but the conditions defined by manufacturers"!! So, theoretically, to qualify for an 8 it can be just a tad better than 7, that's about it!! Neither of these includes "water pressure" (jet streaming) in their defined testing. Therefore, even with a IP67, it can totally be ruined when in pouring rain or non-touch car-wash, and still had passed IP67.
 
Rigids are expensive. :(

I do like their "special" ones tho.

50231H - D2 High/Low Pair, these go full power as well as 1/5 power, so I can use them as driving light.
 
 
check out what Total Automotive Performance is offering in their forum on here in the way of offroad lighting. they put up a bunch of threads yesterday about offroad lighting options. I have also already purchased some 6112s from them and they are pretty quick with shipping so i would def recommend purchasing from them.

IIRC, they have also already stated in another thread on here that they are willing to beat any price you find on an item. right, [MENTION=120150]TotalAutomotiveLV[/MENTION]? Just in case, ask them before purchase as they are responsive to requests.
 
4WP in typical fashion refused to price match so I went with Amazon. $169 to the door guaranteed by the end of the day tomorrow. Sunday Funday Project:rockon:
