Rear wiper only wipes 120 degrees?

This is my first Toyota, but have they always had the rear wiper only wipe like 120 degrees instead of closer to 180?

I checked out the mechanics and it seems like 120 is the max, but it just seems weird and annoys me when I look in the rearview mirror and see a partially wiped window!

I've had a number of vehicles in the past with rear wipers. They all swept ~170*, but they also were mounted to the bottom of the glass or the door at the bottom of the glass. They stuck out, were ugly, easily damaged, froze up, yada yada.

I'll take 120*, out of site, out of weather, etc. Could it be better? ... perhaps .... is it bad? ... I don't think so.
