Wife and I do a lot of camping and up until December we did it in my off road tent trailer. I love it but the wife not so much, not enough "comforts of home" that she wanted. So the shopping began and we also wanted to keep the cost down below 18K and wanted something small, light, and could at least take dirt roads. I figured we could use the tent trailer for wheeling and a new trailer for Nat Forest campgrounds etc.
After a boatload of research we settled on the Camplite 11FK made by Livin-Lite. It's all aluminum and super lite, The 11FK we got weighs 2000 lbs and tows like a dream behind the 4r and has all the amenities. But I really like the fact that it is all aluminum. No rust, rot, etc. The only wood in the thing is the cabinet faces but you can order it will aluminum cabinet faces if you want.
We got the 2017 model with the "Off Road Package" which makes it a bit ore dirt worthy. However, they screwed up on ours and let it out of the factory with the standard axle, 10 degree down and not the off road axle with the 32 degree down angle for more clearance. The cust service though is good and they are swapping out the axle for us.
Here are a couple of pics of the tent trailer and the 11FK. Both with our 4th gen.
