I'm quoting this from your previous build & wanted to clarify some info. I'm assuming when you said the poly bushings for the rear control arms made it too strong it was in regards to your custom rear control arms that you initially built?

Do you have any thoughts on poly bushings being too strong/rigid for the stock rear upper & lower arms?

I've been looking at some whiteline poly/elastomer bushings for the rear upper & lower control arms that are offered for 3rd gens & found your thread about polys in your custom rear control arms & was wondering if poly bushings for stock rear arms wasn't a good idea?

For the rear arms bushings that have a pry angle induced in them, no I would not run just poly. Either replace the rear arm bushings with OEM rubber or go with HD rear arms with a rod end on one side.

Hey Ripcord. Truly inspiring work here. My brother suggested me getting a runner for my wife/play vehicle. I stumbled across your builds. I have read them from beginning to end. I appreciate your detail and craftsmanship, you have inspired me to buy a runner as soon as I am out of Basic/tech school (starting soon). Edit: After seeing all that suspension work, it would be an insult to call mine your twin lol. I am very young and thus poor, so we'll see in a year or two

Different rims, but bronze.
I have way less tire
And less lift....And i want a yakima rack...
But they still look similar! I even bought mine (02 sport thunder cloud) with about 130k miles and very clean. Good luck with your build brotha. Super jealous of the ride.

Well done, that suspension transformation has got to be a fantastic feeling on road.

With the extended coil overs, do you notice the all pro UCA's binding at full droop? My issue originally was such when using the extended coil overs Fox intended for the Tacoma. Switching to a Camburg UCA made it so that the shock was the limiting travel factor, now stopped by my limit straps.

Don't sell this one, okay? If you do, just make sure to do so North of the border!!

Thank you! They are honestly so good looking in person for the price. Less than $500 for the set and they have negative offset so it makes it a little wider too. Might switch the center caps out for trd ones soon though.

When i saw your profile picture I assumed you were still on stock bottlecaps. Just read through a lot of your buid. Imperial Jade Mica is easily tied with Thundercloud as my favorite 3rd gen color, and the bronze on green looks amazing. When i was buying mine I was an hour from pulling the trigger on a CLEAN IJM runner (And already had the bronze mk6 picked out for it) but it sold before I got off work -___- Love the TRD centercaps though, definitely one of my next minor mods. Definitely cannot complain about the thundercloud though.

Time for version 2!

I also bought another scangauge for this 4Runner. And made a custom mount for it.

Then bent it and used those command hook adhesive strips to mount it to the steering column. Then used the velcro on the back and bottom of the scangauge, its pretty solid on there.

I have seen on here many times that most people who are running a gauge, use the Scangauge II. Is it better than the UltraGauge? I have one and was curious why you have picked the same gauge twice and not try something else?

Thanks for the feedback. Ive been asking around and some recommend it and some say no grease. I ended up greasing them lightly when i installed them this wkend. Your 4runner looks great man, unreal. Keep it up and keep us updated.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. It appears that the standard UG does not have trans temps, but they now have a newer UGMX1.3 that costs more and has a trans temp option. Sorry to post all this on yours, but I have yet to gather enough posts to create my own thread yet. Still lots of lurking for me until I actually buy my runner.

I finally finished reading your whole build. Wow...you have been busy my friend! I haven't done anything with my 4Runner since it's gotten so cold out. I tend to hibernate when it's this cold....probably until spring. Luckily that's not to far out!!

Do you mind me asking what company you used to install your window tint? The guys I have used in the past, have closed up shop and moved. If you want to PM me that's fine....whatever works for you Sir.
