I like how you take the time to detail your posts. One thing I've needed to improve. I'm excited to share everything but I end up getting so drawn in by the project I don't want to stop to document. But the extra steps you take to keep everyone on the same page is a huge service to everyone here. It's also a huge reminder for me to improve some other things I've done.

I don't know how he does it. I always start out with that ambition, taking pictures of the parts before install, and then next thing I know it's done and I didn't take any pics during haha

I finally finished reading your whole build. Wow...you have been busy my friend! I haven't done anything with my 4Runner since it's gotten so cold out. I tend to hibernate when it's this cold....probably until spring. Luckily that's not to far out!!

Do you mind me asking what company you used to install your window tint? The guys I have used in the past, have closed up shop and moved. If you want to PM me that's fine....whatever works for you Sir.

The trick is to think of the truck and the thread as two separate projects

Part of it also is for my own records, I have gone back to look at some past details for reference many times.

The only modification would be to make the hole 5/8" instead of 1/2".

IIRC you were working on a setup like this on your other 4Runner...correct? Just wondering how they're working for you?? Nice street manners? Any issues off road?? With the extra shock travel...It looks and sounds like a win win setup. But, thought I'd ask anyway, just to be sure...haha!! Isn't this how 4th gen 4Runners have their OEM rear shocks attached?? I can't stand how our 3rd gen shocks are attached on top. Wow...Great place to manufacture rust and hide mud and the likings. I'm a firm believer...a drunk monkey could have done a better job designing this mounting point.

Anyway...You know I have to ask: are you going to package this up and sell it as a package deal? Or are you just going to put us in contact with your supplier who fab these up for you??

Oh...would you have to run an 80 series Land Cruiser's rear springs? Or would you be OK just as long as you have your 3"s of lift?

Gees...who knew?? Hahaha. No worries...it will be worth the drive for great work and fair prices. Almost nothing worst than a bad tint job...just no way to hid it!

supercharger throttle bracket

I have a question about your old build if you don't mind. I'm installing my supercharger 2002 and have the bracket with the two prongs on it.

It looks like you did too.

Did you bend the bracket to make it fit?

What did you bend it with?

Did it take any heat to get it to bend?

They perform very well. I have not yet taken any excursions, I am waiting for winter to be over for all of Ohios salt to go away first. Come spring though I want to really flex these leg muscles it has now!

Pliers. I recommend trying to find the single spot bracket if you can, I don't know where to find it though.

I don't blame you about waiting out the winter and salt. I have 4 of my vehicles that I put into storage during the winter...unfortunately the 4Runner isn't one of them. Actually, she my DD during the winter.

I didn't know a lot of guys were beating you up...trying to get you to sell your kits. So, any idea when your going to start? Are you going to sell the actual brackets...or just selling the plans?

Again on your shock relocation kit, do you have to use the same spring you are using: OME 861 Spring. Or, can I use pretty much any spring I want to use...just as long as it gives you a full 3" of lift??

You talk as if I have a kit ready for the market haha. There are so many universal fit options for shock mounts out there, I would barely sell any.

No, the spring would not matter. The purpose of mounting the shock higher is so that the wheel location when the shock is fully compressed is returned close to stock height. Longer shocks at the stock mounting location do not allow the wheel to go as high as the stock shocks do.

The location of the mount will depend on the shock you choose and it's compressed length.
