FYI, a dremel with a metal cutting disc worked awesome for the large hole. If you use the dremel, get a few discs. It eats through at least 2-3.

So that's why the damn snorkel body is so big! They had to cover all the F-ups!

Hah, no, the technical reason is because the bolt positions had to shift due to the requirements of the injection molding process. Remember my prototypes were 3D printed.

I'll pick up a new Dremel, any recommendations for a model: Saw-Max, Multi-Max, plain 4000 model, or another one?
I had a Rotozip but burned it up prepping rock sliders.

Working on taping on my template, 40 MPH wind gusts be damned. It's a bit terrifying (the template alignment, not the wind), but it seems like there's a huge fudge factored added on with the bored out bolt holes and oversized duct hole.

Yea, noticed that too. Definitely not precise surgery. Luckily it's all covered by the giant Snorkel body.

So did you guys cover up your drain holes??? I know its been beaten to death as to the yay sayers and nay sayers, but for this, I'm going to follow the concensus of the hive.
I did silicon up the drain holes, but I've seen pics on the internet of the bug soup that can accumulate in there. I'm thinking of leaving the drain holes open, unless I knew I was going to go offroading ahead of time. What are u guys doing? thanks
To the peeps who want to perform this surgery on their vehicle. Use the tools outlined in the instructions, and actually try and follow the instructions. Its very well written, and easy to follow. As people mentioned, there is wiggle room.
The fender liner gommets are a pita, but if u cut the big hole first before trying to take off the fender, it makes removing the liner from the big hole WAAAAY easier. Those gommets have to be removed from the back of the liner....unless you want to destroy them as you pull the fender liner.
Also, I didn't drill the A pillar holes. I just mounted it with double side tape. Now I know this is against the instructions, so if you don't drill the holes, and something bad happens, its on you. I live by the ocean, and I cannot take the chance with rust. Everything rusts when you live near the ocean. So If I can get away with not drilling holes, that's the route I'm going. I was so paranoid with rust, I not only spray painted the edges, I silicone the edges of the holes I drilled too...... Also, with the mounting screws, and double sided tape, that snorkel isn't going anywhere.

Finished up a bit ago! Made a beer run for some destresser before posting the results though.
[Edit] Oh! For the big hole I used these Dremel cut-off wheels. I only used maybe 1/4" radius off one disc.

This was the most nerve racking part of the install. I knew as long as you were two drinks close with the other holes, it was gonna fly. They give you 30mm fender washers for a 8mm bolt...
But, the snorkel aligns to the fender body lines and there is very minimal wiggle room in the A pillar bracket, combined with an imprecise method for laying out the reference marks. I triple checked mine, got the bracket mounted, then loose fit the snorkel with the bracket bolts ran in a few threads to tack it in position. After we loose tightened all the fender nuts, then went back and snugged them up, I anxiously checked the A pillar bracket bolts and let out a huge sigh of relieve when I could still freely turned them by hand and they weren't bound up at all.That was the worst part of the installer. Or maybe second worst, giving the crown to those ****ing "grommet, screw" push clips. Even just sacrificing them it's still a pain in the ass to get the liner free.
