I have an old android phone I don't use, does the phone need to have internet or cell service to use this app? Use an iphone now.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think android phones will not completely boot up unless they are activated. That is how my last few droids were, and besides, if they don't have internet you can't download any apps.

Hey, i forgot about the booting up part. My plan was to just get a cheap phone card or 1 month plan and download it that way. But i guess if once I deactivated it then I wouldn't be able to use it?

...and with tranny cooler, isn't ATF temp irrelevant? Sorry it's just my inner penny pincher

I came came across this thread looking for on a scanner that reads ATF Temp.....I'm doing a "drain and fill" on a Sienna automatic transmission. As I understand it, the atf fluid expands at different temps, so it has to be done with the ATF near 114 degrees to get the correct level to be "filled". Operating temp is too hot, and a vehicle that has cooled to air temp is too cold.

In this case ATF Temp is important.

Can you get the ATF temp with a "Scanguage E"? Its a little cheaper. $99 at autozone. $79 with a coupon promotion right now (11/11/2018).
