Anyone running a Stealth 6 wheel with 275 70 17’s and without a lift?
I’m saving up for kings meanwhile sitting on the rest of my suspension upgrades but I couldn’t wait any longer on wheels - just ordered the SCS Stealth 6 and I’m running 275 ko2s on a near stock suspension. (I did put in a 1” top hat spacer to level her out)
Curious how much cutting I’ll have to do since I haven’t seen anyone else with this combo - seems most SCS owners have full lifts which is probably 6 more months for me.
I will take my spare 275 and mount 1 SCS wheel for mock-up before I make the plunge on swapping them all out.
Super jealous! Was told the black Stealth Six wouldn't be back in stock until late August or September and hadn't been regularly checking their page. Anyway I'll be running the same as you (provided I ever get the wheels) and will look forward to your report!

Well, forget it. They had a new batch come in and availability started at 6pm tonight pacific time. Tried to buy them on my phone at 6:10 and it wouldn't work. Got home from work and went online at 6:30 and the dang things are already sold out. Ridiculous. What a marketing scheme that you can get people that worked up to buy made in Taiwan wheels.
I run stock size Falken Wildpeak 265s on 17" Ray 10s. Since they are 32s, I only had to do fender liner mod. With the wheeling I do, I didn't need the 285s. I DO wish I went with E rated tires for peace of mind but I havent had any problems with them.
Bumping your post from half a year ago, I know. But wondering, at the time (when you were running 265 Falken's and 17" Ray 10s), did you have a lift or any other suspension mods?
I just put 265 Falkens on my 2015 SR5 and ordered 17"Ray10s on Monday. Everything else about my 4R is stock. I'm assuming I'll have to do some slight trim work at this point based off everything else I've read and your post above. But not sure if, since I don't have any lift, it will require more trim work than I'm thinking.
How is it possible that stock size 265/70/17 rub with Ray10’s?
I rubbed full lock in reverse with the mud guards removed. I believe I was rubbing on the mud guards from the tire shop. I had to trim probably a 2 sq in triangle off the front bumper. Not a big deal at all. I did have a Daystar 2.5/1.5" leveling kit. As you probably read in the other wheel and tire sections, every truck is different and the geometry is different in every 4runner. Depending on how good your alignment tech is, or how much your stock springs have settled will effect the wheel/tire fitment. You should be fine but there will probably be rubbing issues. Just not major ones that would require a BMC.
Bridgestone Dueler H/T and Falken Wildpeak are the same size, but the -10 offset of the SCSs pushes the wheel out which can be the source of rubbing problems. The falkens are a lot beefier in person. I'm not sure how tire companies measured diameter and I didnt measure it myself, but I want to say that the falkens were actually 32" and not 31.7". I'm also not sure 0.3"
makes a HUGE difference. (it probably does since .5deg of caster does)
For questions why I went with 285, I popped a tire with P rated Falkens. Kings made me go faster on trails...

They are made in Thailand. Yes, there is a difference. What a marketing scheme that you can get people that worked up to buy made in Taiwan wheels.
I have the RAY10's 17x8.5 -10 with stock 265/70/17 KO2, no lift. I get rubbing in full lock reverse when parallel parking I havnt looked too close to the fender liner, but here is where it hits on the front mudflaps. How is it possible that stock size 265/70/17 rub with Ray10’s?

275-70-17 fit with Stealth 6 with little to no lift
*(I do have a 1/2" top hat spacer for a 1" lift)
No rub after fender liner mod and removal of the front mudflaps...barely clear the body mount when stuffing the wheels but they do clear!
