Seat swapping - what have you all done?

Anyone know if you can swap existing OEM front seats in a 2008 4th gen?
Driver outside edge worn and wondering if I can swap it with the passager bottom half of seat alone with swapping all the plastic trim around it?

I went Corbeau also, the Moab in spice.

I very much prefer manual seats. Shed 22 pounds also. After selling my factory seats, these cost like 300 to 350 bucks...

I want to do some experimenting with Mitsubishi Evo Recaro OEM seats. I see them pop up from time to time for ~$500. The blue in the center would match up to Moon Mist alright! Then, could color match the door panel cloth and armrests.

I pretty sure the Moabs sit lower. I have Corbeau seats in another car too, and I'm quit sure the sit lower in each...

For reference, from the center of driver's seat (no weight) to the sliding cover for the moonroof, I get 36".

Those seats look awesome! Did you use the Corbeau slider mounts and if so did they bolt right up or did you have to modify them any?

Thanks. About as simple as it gets... That said, the seat belt receptacle brackets should ideally be straightened as they impinge upon the sides of the center console. I aim do so again the next time I remove the seats...

I swapped Infiniti QX4 leather seats in mine, wasn't terribly hard, did front and rear matching, available in Black and Tan, they're also power and heated, which were both very simple to wire in.

Most comfortable seats I've ever sat in too, zero fatigue from riding on them.

I'm looking to something similar to my 01 T4R. What was the year of the Infiniti QX4? Any other information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

i lucked out and found a better than decent set at a local junk yard, paid $80 seats came out of a 01' T4R SR5

old one on left, new on right.for comparison, my driver seat was beyond destroyed

I'm looking to something similar to my 01 T4R. What was the year of the Infiniti QX4? Any other information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I believe there was only one generation of the QX4 offered. It's been so long since I did it I can't remember many specifics. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're ready to tackle a fabrication project. It took building brackets, cutting and modification on the floor braces and modifying the seat brackets. I did end up finding the wiring diagrams for the power and heat functions online fairly easily way back when so I'm sure they're still out there.

Pulled the seats and removed the leather. Went and bought my own fabric, guy at the shop told me about how much I would need. Took the old and the new to a guy in my neighborhood who does upholstery and he made the new ones. I added some padding inside the seats and slid the new leather on. Part of the deal was he would do my seats when he had time so I got my drivers seat done in a weekend and then my passenger took about a week and he still has my rear seats. I'm in them about 350 for everything. I'll post a pic when I have them all installed.
