Sedona, AZ - Fri 3/31 to Tues 4/5 - Anyone Interested?

Hi everyone,

I'm headed out to Sedona these days. We have a campsite in Sedona. I should be there Friday afternoon, staying until the following Wednesday morning.

It will be me and another buddy with a 4x4 Tacoma.

Anyone interested in meeting up?

I won't be wheeling every day but I'd like to get two solid days in on some moderate trails.

Oh man I would totally be down but we are going to Page/Lake Powell that weekend. Bummer because there are a ton of great trails I would love to run with you guys.

Brian, great place to go. I am in metro Phoenix, have plans on Saturday with my daughters. BUT... I am thinking that I am free on Sunday. Have you been there before? I have done some trails there, but here are always more to do!

Sedona is beautiful. A lot of trails. Hope the weather is perfect for you.
I know this not a picture of a 4Runner (this is my husband in our RZR), but shows how challenging the trails can get. This is "Broken Arrow". The Pink Jeeps run this too, so not that bad. I did not get this far up this trail in our 4Runner. Serious AZ pin striping before you get to this point, narrow road. I just could not do it to my truck.

I'll watch the forum for your plans...but I can make it Monday through Wednesday. I live locally, and have done Broken Arrow, but would be interested in some other trails, and meeting T4R members. In what area are you camping?

on your visit to Arizona you could take a day and drive over to Payson and do Payette draw if you want to do something above moderate.

I may be a go for that Sunday too

If anyone has a suggestion for a good Saturday run I'd be down. I would prefer it be something that a stock Tacoma can go on, something scenic. I'm really not looking to wheel very hard out there. I just got my truck fixed after death valley. You guys do whatever you prefer. I'm there for the camping, relaxing, some beers at the end of the day and hopefully some scenery.

Schnebly Hill road. absolutely beautiful and super easy.

Also if you aren't staying in Sedona the whole time I would strongly recommend camping right on the Mogollon Rim AMAZING views. Lots of primitive campsites along there.

Thanks. Yeah my friend has a stock 08 4WD Tacoma and I've got my 4runner which is pretty capable. We'd like to keep the pin striping down to near zero.

I appreciate the suggestions. Maybe we could meet up as a group and do something scenic in the AM then you all could hit a harder trail in the afternoon.

Either way we'll be there. If you are camping in the area let me know. Perhaps we are near each other.

we can do schnebly hill and broken arrow and maybe soldiers pass, these are all doable stock, currently there is no tight brush and there is full cell coverage. I did it all once with balding street tires and open diffs.

Which trailhead? The Schnebly Hill Road trail then on to another sounds like a good plan.

sadly I will not be making it anywhere this weekend. on a positive note I'll be working on my 4Runner. taking it on its first long-distance road trip hopefully the end of the month.
