I'm fixated on the 5,000lb number. 9,000lbs is excessive. I only see what I want to see. Someone take these blinders off of me.

With that said...if you are wanting to part with roof rack and gobi ladder keep me in mind, I pay cash.

Ya the 5k # is fine, I do not worry about that too much. I worry more about the length of that trailer vs wheelbase of the truck. I would not trade the truck in to get that trailer though. The Surveyor, that is another story.
 
Have you considered the Tundra Crewmax? Plenty of room in the cab for the family, put on a cap and lots of dry cargo space and to top it all off you can tow a space shuttle.:wink2: Can't beat it :thumb3:

Seriously though it would be the best bet for towing >5-6k as we all know that Toyota's suv tow rating are a bit over rated.

Just throwing it out there as an option. Good luck with whichever route you chose to go!

This, I have a Crew Max and the TE. Each fills a specific need / use. Add the T UR D supercharger for the CM and you have a sleeper.

I thought of that, however, I was bouncing between those two options when I bought the 4Runner. I like having an SUV vs a truck, but a bed would make carrying dirty **** much nicer.
 
If you're going to do it, I would suggest returning it to stock before trading in, and even then, I might consider selling privately to maximize the dollars. You can get some of the money back out of mods/accessories by returning to stock, but you'll likely get none by trading it in.
 
I drove the Sequoia 3 weeks ago.... pass! It is a beast though.... but they are almost the price of a LandCruiser now.

I personally know the owner of the dealership so I am sure he would make sure I am not raped on parts. If I were to do it, it would have to happen quick or it would not happen. A part out would quickly make me change my mind. I think that means I should not do it :wow:

the interior was just really cheap looking to me (just like my old Tundra), it was just very cumbersome and too damn big! It had hella power in it though and rode nice. I drove the LC and about busted a nut.... but too rich for my blood
 
Is it an independent rear or solid axle. The pics I have seen look to be independent. That could be a quick deal killer, I do not want a car.
