Thinking that the time for body work(rust repair) and repaint is soon coming. I've always been partial to silver, and every vehicle I've ever owned was a variation of it. My truck is currently black and is a low end paintjob. Black is pretty nice looking, but its not for me rightnow. So, that's it, just wanted to run a poll to see which might be more popular. Feel free to suggest paintcodes or post pics! Thanks

Also, what sort of price range would you guess some rust repair (mostly in the window rain gutters and a few small bubbles on the body) and a quality spray job would cost? 2k?

Def getting top resprayed black, and yes it would! There is a guy on YT , goes by CAMSTOY or something, his truck is the one that got me thinking of white as an option.

With silver or white as the choices, I pick...burgundy. Oops, that didn't help much. On the pricing, automotive painting is one of those subjects that's all over the map--what one will charge $500 for, another will want $2000 for. Your best bet is to research your own particular area well, asking at shops and stores for who they would trust.

Yeah, it'll be 7-13 mo. Before I do it, but between here and there I will def do a lot of research. When I had my 4th gen and was sideswiped nascar style I took it to a place called BodyWorks, they do all the high end dealer (benz, BMW, Volvo) repairs so ill prob start there and wiggle onward

white.. depending on where you live black can be hotter than u think. plus white wont show scratches like black paint job.

Maybe its really expensive here, but I called around asking about paint for my 2nd gen and all quotes I got were very close to $3000-3500. That was with no major body work. Any rust repair and more $$$. Being that you are in a bigger city, I'm sure you can find better prices but it would be even better if you have a friend that knows how to paint :) Also, if it were me, I'd go with a metallic, graphite grey. It seems like every vehicle looks sharp with that color.
