some questions regarding which flowmaster

i know lots of people have magnaflows but i think i want the flowmaster super 40 series..

expect i got some questions..

1. what's the stock piping diameter on 5th gen SR5
2. specific model # that is know to fit?
3. if not then do we need center in center out or center in offset out?

Sorry I can't give you specific answers to your questions, but I DO have experience with both mufflers.
I basically walked into a local muffler shop and asked for a Magnaflow muffler. 20 mins later, I paid the bill and drove away. The resonance inside the truck was so bad it actually hurt my ears ( just a side note- I have put some sort of exhaust on every one of my vehicles so I have some experience here)- it was really bad. I was confused because I've had Magnaflows before and they provided a nice tone with NO resonance. Looked under the 4Runner, and they mistakenly installed the Flowmaster40. I turned around and they fixed it immediately. It was an honest mistake!

I am very happy with the Magnaflow. You can always hear it, but there is no resonance to make your head hurt! That's my 2 cents.

You and Harper have installed Magnaflows. ( I am sure others have too) The first one Harper put on I think was 18 inches, too loud or something like that, so I think he got a 21 or 24 inch one, and was going to report back in a month or so with the results. Well, I have been looking for that post but none to date. So, which one did you install? And Harper, feel free to join in!

I had an 18 inch Magnaflow and took it out last month. Too loud and too much drone at 2-3k RPMs. The 18 inch is alot smaller than the stock muffler. Went back to the old one, but if I was to go back, I probably would have gotten the 24 inch. Something that would compliment the TRD intake at mid and WOT acceleration.
