Someone Hit me this morning :(

On a triple lane I was going on the very far left lane next to the yellow double lines. A hispanic lady driving on the center lane next to me on my right . she was maybe a nose ahead of me on her lane and all of the sudden she tried to switch to my lane. I saw her car coming towards me and tried to avoid pulling to my left to the opposite traffic lane (no car was coming thanks God) but even though I tried she got me.
Thanks God my truck is lifted and I am glad I have my side tube steps instead of the running boards. That prevented more damage. She was driving a Honda Accord . Her front bumper came off completely.

I definetely will need some paint job and will need to take of the step because it is bent and all messed up. I will post some pics whenever a get a chance.

The only thing I know is if I didn't have my side tube steps and the 4R wasn't lifted....I would have needed to replace both doors and maybe had frame damage.

Its a lot easier to fix a wadded up truck than it is to fix a person.

Winter Wreck

Had a girl lose control on I-15 on the way to work yesterday right in front of me. Couldn't get around her and ended up smacking right into her driver's door doing about 40. Her car is totaled and the 4R needs a new bumper, fenders, and hood. :lookout:

I think thats exactly what it was...she didn't even know I was next to her....she didn't see me.... because she didn't even try to pull back to her lane.

Sorry to hear, glad it is in the "could have been worse" category though, I wrecked my 4Runner in the begining of December, and definitely was in that same category. Glad you're ok

Tell me....it took about 45 minutes for the cop to get there and another 30 minutes to get the report done...the lady worked across the street where the event took place and she went in i thought to use the phone or just to get warm I stayed outside then when the police asked for her the owner of the gas station came out to talk to the police like if was him involved in the incident saying that she was working and that "He saw and Picked up the Bumper" (he said it like 10 times...lol)....the Police (a female officer and very very funny but serious about her job at the same time ) laugh at him and told him.."ok...So you picked up the bumper?...so what?..big Deal...where is she?...go get her!!!...LOL.. it was so funny...it reminded me of the movie "Police Academy"...I started laughing...I didn't want to but couldn't help it........when the lady finally came out after 10 minutes she had the nerves to tell the officer that It was my fault and I "Rushed her" what that means?..I dont know

Thanks...I am glad no one was coming in the opposite direction ..or I wouldnt have room to move away and avoid worse dammage specially to her or the vehicle.

It wasn't that bad...thanks again to the side tube steps...but she got me anyway...the side step needs to be replaced and I got some scuffs on the lower side of the doors I have not checked the back wheel yet though.

The hit was kind of hard and sounded pretty Loud... I thought my 4R was messed up. I think her bumper got stuck on the side step and this one abosorbed almost all the impact.

No way. It's considered non-driveable because the signals aren't working and the bumper is barely hanging on. Estimate for the work is $3400.
