Stinger Elev8 floating stereo

Been trying to find a competitor for the Halo 9 and finally came across the Stinger Elev8. So far not much out there, hoping to see some reviews soon. Really wanting to have Android Auto in my car, find it ridiculous that I have this nice OEM screen but with horrid GPS so use my phone instead...

Can be found for around $750-800. If I had the extra cash to burn I would give it a go...but sadly am not in that situation.

Doesn't look too bad, would be interested to see who makes it for them. I'm a huge fan of the floating tablet style but that one aint half bad. Isnt cheap though and also wonder about quality down the road.

I am hoping someone knows the answer to your first question to help with the second question. Looks like it wouldn't take as much real estate across all dimensions compared to the Halo 9. Concern is mainly taking away any of the A/C vents as well as visual glance access to A/C controls, though that is mostly by feel now anyway. I was not a fan of the floating style either, but I really do not like having all that blank space that comes with the usual aftermarket double din on the sides.

Yeah I meant to say im NOT a huge fan of the floating tablet lol. I think we can't really tell what it will look like in a 4Runner until it's in one.
I'm also not a fan of the empty space the aftermarket dash kits leave. I'll have to figure something out as it looks like I will in fact be holding on to my T4R for a few more years as the new bronco will only come with a turbo 4cyl.... but that's another thread lol.
