So much work into this type of thing. Fab work is looking nice. I like how you integrated the 4 link brackets into one. I've seen that before on Jeeps. No room for another cross brace back there or just worked out better the way you bracketed it? It's funny to hear/read comments of "Just SAS it". Never as easy as they think. Spidertrax Hi 9 axles?

Just one question tho... Can I fit 40s on stock suspension without doing the body mount chop???

Ya think LOL. There won't be much 5th gen left anymore. It will be so beyond any truck here... like comparing a Nascar camary to a stock one.. Everything but the engine transmission, body and interior are gong to be different.

It's going to be amazing! but is also way beyond what any sane person would do. However, I'm hoping it opens up the opportunity for some more SAS'd fith gens in the future.

This one is being done to the 9s.... which is totally awesome and impressive... but I hope it helps forge a path for some moderate budget oriented SASed 5th gens. Like take a FJ80 high pinion 8 or even a custom diamond housing.. Keep the stock rear... Keep the motor on the stock mounts..... run 35s... keep it old school Toyota. More like a 10-15k build that could be accomplished by a DIY fabricator who is not afraid to cut his truck up.

Exactly. This is awesome to watch develop and an amazingly impressive feat and display of shop prowess, but not something I'd have the slightest interest in doing -- which is why the "This is a build" comments are eye-rollingly amusing. If this is the bar then you might as well shut down the forum.

Of course it re-affirms that RSG is more than capable of handling anything I might ever need or want done, if the word of mouth reputation hadn't already covered that. However that would stop at 35s and a regear, if even that. Modestly going with just 33s and BMC is more likely.

I have wondered how an FZJ-80 axle with the ABS sensors would work with the 4Runner. The pick-ups look very similar and one home there could be some capability.

I would agree it would be awesome to see this work down to something doable for those of us wanting to do this swap for less than the cost of a new 4Runner. This build is way more that I would want to do, but man, I am sitting here enjoying the crap out of it. I love an awesome BUILD and fab skills!
