haha right on. If i can make a suggestion, if you cut and rewelded the doors right at the top of where the tail light ends, it would pretty much follow the lines of the body and be less to fill in.

That would work, but most of the attachment to the unibody is there. Plus I'm set on having the storage boxes the more I think about the possibilities.

When I was a kid I wanted a OD green Jeep with a minigun on top. But then I grew up and realized it wasn't very realistic and decided someday I'll have gun ports on a 4Runner instead.

Thanks. I was the same way. Part of the reason I'm building this. I wanted to throw in gun ports but I work in the city a lot a think that would scare people a little too much.

It starts. Just built the rough upper frame of the raised roof. The top deck will be aluminum diamondplate. Should give nice headroom for the flat screen tv...

Very interesting idea for a welding table. You certainly don't have to worry about bending it. Do you have a tabletop of sorts or do you just have more spars to lay across it?

Very interesting idea for a welding table. You certainly don't have to worry about bending it. Do you have a tabletop of sorts or do you just have more spars to lay across it?

Mostly spars. It's leveled and squared so all the weight keeps it in place really well. I have beam clamps with handles welded on to hold the spars in place.

I ran out of square tube so I cut the armored glass for the rear side windows. I was going to go with lexan and mesh for security, but with this material I can keep a clear view and keep my tools safe when parked.

I also picked up a small shovel I'm going to mount to the outside.

Just installed the espresso machine. I painted the sides flat olive drab since it fits the theme.

Just cut the mesh out of the back windows. Figured if armored windows don't stop someone...

Plus I get a better view of people's reactions in traffic.

Thanks, just did an intake mod last night. I was fabricating a metal tube, but decided to cut out the stock tube and adapt it. I like having the alignment pins and lip on both ends. The vinyl tube is temporary. I stole it from a pressure washer so I could drive home.

I'm making flip covers for the inside of the rear windows. Just started fabricating small hinges.

The latest mod is done. I put in air lift bags. The instructions said one hour but it took me two since the instructions weren't clear. I ended up removing and installing the springs twice and my truck almost fell off the jeep jack when raising it. Thankfully my awesome neighbor was outside to help.

The confusion for me was that I didn't need all the parts in the box (the large rubber adapters) and the stops need to be cut different when there's lift spacers installed (forgot since they came on the truck).


Results...
It rides like it did stock and empty. Not bad since there's a generator and spare tire hanging out past the rear bumper. I'm curious to see how it effects off-roading though. Bottom line, amazing improvement for under $100.
