I bought new because I wanted to know the history of the vehicle form day 1 and because I wanted to be the only person to fart in it
ahh the ceremonial 1st fart. That is a special time.

Why people buy new (out side of because used isn't available) is beyond me. It's a losing battle

The difference from used with 36K miles and new is pretty damn small compared to most cars.
Same dealer in Glenwood Springs -
2012 SR5 Base (No nav or leather), 36K miles, $33K
2016 SR5 Premium, New, $38K
$5K for full warranty, 4 model years newer, and the SR5 Premium + Refresh perks is a pretty good deal compared to most Used/New car trade-offs.

Do you happen to listen to Dave Ramsey? Lol
Great advice and yes I listen to him.
He keeps me motivated on sticking to my goals.

guys, if the used price is outrageous you need to find a better deal.
marshal and i each purchased used 5th gen Trail editions for great prices ~26-28k in 2014, IIRC. deals exist on used vehicles. find one. not sure if marshal 's truck is paid off but mine is and i own it and its mine and no matter what happens, its mine to do what i want with, to fart in as much as i want to. :biggrin1:

Major question here... is that $750 being used to pay for everything else in your life (housing, food, utilities, etc.), or is it what's left over after paying for everything else plus the new truck? Huge difference between the two.I found what I've been looking for but I'm a little hesitant. Located a local to me 2015 magnetic gray trail with KDSS. Dealer is asking $39,700 but I'm sure there is a rebate or some wiggle room in the price. I would be trading in my base model 2007 jeep JK. As far as I can roughly estimate I would only have about $750 left over in my monthly budget after financing the new 4Runner. That's cutting it a little close for my liking. However I've got the fever BAD. Should I push this burning desire down or pour some gasoline on it.

If it's [Income - 4Runner = $750], and that $750 is supposed to pay for gas, a roof, food, etc., then you would be stupid to make the trade. Stooopid. :der: :loco:ray: :twitch:
out: :faint2:
If it's [Income - 4Runner - necessities (food, roof, etc.) = $750] in cash to spend on entertainment and extras, then go for it if it's what you want.

Then why are you asking? Go for it!Nope that $750 is after mortgage, utilities, groceries and all other expenses.
Was your beer, condoms, cocaine, hookers, stripper tips, Jameson and gas money already taken out of that 750?Nope that $750 is after mortgage, utilities, groceries and all other expenses.
